Just picked up Pro Evo 2009 for the 360 in Gamestation for £20. Offer goes on until Sunday in case anyone cares.

Obviously, Pro Evo is and always will be far superior to FIFA.

cheers for this - currently sitting next to a boy playing fifa 09 on xbox who agrees pes is better and would no doubt love to find it under the tree on christmas day...

edit: "the really good stuff about fifa is the 10v10 online game mode, the cinematics, the realism, the arena, and the licences.

in my opinion, if you really love football games you can't have one [fifa/pes] without the other."

I'm not online with it. I dont know when I will be either. I have Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2 to complete, Halo 3 to start, GTA 4 to finish and whatever I get for Xmas.

Pro Evo 9 is the best game of all time.

I've lost count of how many nights we've had getting spannard, playing Pro Evo.Not something I'll grow out of.Fantastic.

Hav'nt played FIFA in years...Not since The Pro Evo series came along and blew it out of the water.

I must say I've had a fair few into the next morning sessions on the game.

halo 3 is far more addictive than pro evo3 if you've got an important job or work do not start it,

been hooked for too long now and i still get beaten by 9year olds online

pes was, is and for ever shall be far better than fifa, the whole game engine in pes is fantastic, it has provided my stoner freinds to postpone adulthood, jobseeking, parenting since a japanese copy of the game changed our lives about ten years ago, fifa is pish:dead:

So tell me....... Is there an element of the Frustrated, arnchair Beckham about these football games?

I mean I play lots of driving sims, and they teach me to appreciate so much more of what I see when watching the real thing.....but there is also the frustrated racing driver in me getting his fix. Currently involved with Iracing, which costs quite a lot to take part in, but is the closest I'll ever get to doing it for real, being too poor to run a car, even an F-Ford and too fat to run karts competitively.....I also got to race a multiple nascar champ on Iracing, something that's unlikely to happen at the Boxing day meeting at Knutt's Corner or Kirkiston (or even pheonix park or Mondello). Mind you, I raced (and sometimes beat) Takuma Sato a few times on GPL back when he was just starting in Brit F3.

Although one could no more make a good football "sim" anymore than a good motorbike sim (wisest thing I read on that was a guy saying that a realistic motorbike sim was about as likely as a realistic eating sim)....but are they still your chance to sink the decider at Wembley in the same way racing sims are my chance to beat the Stig round the top gear test track (54.4 in a Mclaren MP4/22....eat that Stiggy!), or win the monaco GP (even in sims I cannot do this, though I've managed it on the platstation).

too bloody right, the last time i ran around a football pitch for 90 mins or so was before i joined monaco, my knees would colapse after about five mins now.

More like a frustrated Marco materazzi.

I play 5 at the back, 2 defensive midfielders, two pacy wingers and a big man up front. Ultra defensive tactics. Long Ball. Never fails. Always win one nil.

dont really have a game plan or tactics, just as long as i have roberto carlos on me team i should win

Apparently PES has always been way above the Fifa series. Until 2009. where FIFA is superior to PES. Well thats what ive read. Hoping to get FIFA09 for Wii.
