Strangely I voted 60's because not only were some of my favourite tunes (albeit most of them are TV themes  )written then, but also, while there was much twee and loathesome pop music, it was downright mild compared to the 70's onwards. The 40's and 50's were basically decades where everybody released the same tune endlessly.

The answer one would expect, would of course be 80's, but in the "genius vs total shite" stakes they fail miserably. For every New Order there are ten Black Laces, for every Propaganda, there are ten Whams.

The 90's were excellent, and 2000 onwards has been at least acceptable.

Only tune of theirs most people know. Good, but far from their best, and it smells of 80's cos of the horrid sampled slap bass.

1980s, for its sonic diversity: there you have solid indie rock scene, heavy metal, hip hop, italodisco, house, the exploited, good early 80s dub... so much was so still fresh sounding.

Ganja buzz bahchuraaj

Frankly speaking, I've never heard them. I'm desperately seeking a 2009 place to go tonight. But I'd probably get shitfaced in my car in the parking lot and then get back home to my quiet family.

Yo! All the best!

They were from New Jersey, and one of them (Dania Morales)is from Ecuador. They were quite famous for the single "Living in Oblivion" (1989).

Ten Whams! and that isn't reason enough for voting 80s! c'mon Cambo, you know you gotta have faith

Decades don't really work though. The best time for music I think was 78-85... the early 70s were shite, as were the later 80s. I only voted 80s as I guess I group later 70s music in the 80s pile....

edel everything hasnt gone green i want hear your argument why the 80s wasnt the best decade. i voted for the 60s for the raw guitar work and jam session bands did back then

The 80's

The best in music and the "so bad it's amazing" music.

80s by far and away. At this time music sounded crisp, fresh, precise and with good attention to detail in terms of structure and melody of the songs. Some legendary pieces of equipment from the decade too. Dance music has never really recovered ever since. That Propoganda track above has a brilliant intro.

The 80's for me. I have so many 80's cd's and compilations and I never get bored of listening to them.
