Yup 80s here too. Every now and again I come across a long-forgotten song from that decade that I really love.
Melt With You by Modern English and loads of Tears for Fears songs this year.
Ironically, given the supposed Greed is Good ethos, it's the decade that just keeps giving.

Only tune of theirs most people know. Good, but far from their best, and it smells of 80's cos of the horrid sampled slap bass.
I always skip 'Duel' (one of my least favourite tracks on 'A Secret Wish') just so I can listen to 'Frozen Faces', which is far more superior. Probably the best thing that Propaganda ever did. Shame it was only a B-side

I voted 80's. Especially early 80's,some top bands like you know who,plus The League,Soft Cell,Depeche,Fad Gadget,Big Country,early Cocteaus,Ultravox,OMD and many more. Haircuts were shite though.
Followed by a close second the 90's,Madchester,acid-bleep.... Baggy jeans were shite though.
I tried posting, gave lots of great examples of bands and put together an eloquent and persuasive argument for the 1970s, but because this site has become so fucking SLOW it timed out and I lost the lot.
Oh well... 1970s and whoever says different is a fucking numpty!
