The Guardian points out that the Stone Roses' "Made of Stone" is nearly two decades old. Every time I look in the mirror I see death staring back. These two things are not unrelated.

Also we have the following quotes from Jaimie Hodgson, the 'new music' editor of the NME:

"I love the XX - on paper their formula sounds abhorrent: it's a mix of new wave, anti-folk and urban influences like dubstep, but it's the perfect soundtrack to walking around London, taking in the architecture"

  1. "anti-folk" - FUCK OFF
  2. "walking round London" - FUCK OFF
  3. "architecture" - FUCK OFF
  4. the NME - FUCK OFF (this has been a constant for at least 15 years now)
  5. being called "Jaimie" - FUCK RIGHT FUCKING OFF

In summary, Coatsey says "FUCK OFF!"

Again, from 'Jaimie":

"Little Boots is the most exciting dance-pop hope for 2009. She has re-imagined the lost art of choruses for the electro-disco generation"

COATSEY SAYS: FUCKOFFFUCKOFFFUCKOFFFUCKOFFFUCKOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it just me, or did Logan's Run get it right: hit 30, and then you get bumped off for the good of society??

Or as Harry Enfield's Old Gits said: "Life begins at 40 ... try telling that to John Lennon!"

Either way, I lose on both counts. :(

On the one hand, Jimbo, that's a nice gag delivered with wit, economy and your usual soupcon of barely detectable self-deprecation.

On t'other......FUCK OFF YOU ASPIRING BOURGEOIS MOTHERFUCKER AND TAKE YOUR HALF-ARSED WINE "JOKES" WITH YOU!!!!

I only heard Little Boots for the first time last night, and knew I'd seen her mentioned somewhere before.

Bet you facking would Fradders, in a Pipettes-oggling type way.

She's dead cute.

But what the fack is that nutty thing she plays on stage? Looks like she's sat playing tetrus!

I think I'm getting the hang of irony.

All the people on this board detest and make fun of the intellegence of Guardian readers... yet I get all my breaking Guardian articles from people on this board.

Thanks for the lesson :thumb:

Dunno[1] what it is but I want one. Especially if it comes with her as a free gift.

Quite clever really, worth keeping an eye on.

[1]Well it's a sequencer with a big graphic interface, but apart from that I dunno.
