Cool music on Nip/Tuck

One of the things I really enjoy about Nip/Tuck is the way music is incorporated into the show. The season premier featured a tune which our across-the-pond friends have no doubt been enjoying for quite some time now. I'm speaking of the cover of "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" by Mark Ronson / Daniel Merriweather.

Covering a tune can be tricky. You can be accussed of having no originallity or of f'ing up the song. I think these guys pull it off very nicely. They put their own spin on the tune but I think they remain true to it's spirit.

It's been discussed on here before. A lot of people think it's a terrible cover, but I love it.

Lovely show and music too. Last time I watched it was 2005, no cable now. Remember Numan's Cars in the surgery room - was kinda cool.

Top Gear can usually be relied upon. That team is ace.

Regret was used in the intro to yet another housing programme last week with the abominable Amanda Lamb.

Watched an episode of TG one night where they played four of my fave artists sequentially. NO, Orb, Orbital, Aphex Twin. Although in truth I'd rather hear the engines.

CSI NY has some really excellent tunes in it, though I have no idea what any of them are.

I prefer my soundtracks to be instrumental rather than an attempt to sell a soundtrack CD. Gimme early Dr Who any day.

On the topic, 'Cold Case' had full LWTUA and then a Cure tune in the same episode.
