I know you should change your passwords on a regular basis, but I didn't and had pretty much the same one for everything.

BIG mistake.

I have changed them ALL now though! :thumb:

EDIT don't suppose anyone has any idea of my password for anything else - didn't write those down either - and its definitely not any pet I have ever had, or favourite song, band, colour .........now what could it be I wonder

So you don't forget, change them all to the same one like your email, then paste it in an email to your email account so if you ever forget it, you can look it up in your email box:thumb:

yes please keep all your passwords in your email. it makes it even easier to assume being you in multiple spots. PGP.

Sarah Palin had her account taken on yahoo when a "hacker" knew three personal things about her. where she went to high school, a maiden name, and what college she went to. all public information.

I usually take things that are close to my heart and then mangle the spelling. For example, my (about to be expired BTW) logins in work started as, a race series (GP2) and two racing cars (McRon MP4/13 and RedCar F2003GA), and became....... Geepeetw0 Emmpee4-13 EFF2003gA

And there's plenty more where they came from.

And no, none of these work on me ebay/paypal or credit card.....anything where money is involved, I use words that I made up so dictionary attacks are useless ;)
