I read here that some of you have an interest in White Lies.
They will be in concert on the radio on Monday.
EDIT: THE SINGER BEING UNABLE TO SING, THE CONCERT IS CANCELLED.

tipsy
now there's a word i haven't heard for a very, very long time...reminds me of aunts drinking a bit to much on b-days and saying they are tipsy, love it![]()
Tired pub rock. With the most truly, truly awful, embarrassing videos in history. The Bravery and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are interesting by comparison![]()
listened to some white lies stuff a few weeks ago and they seem ok to me.a mate of mine saw them support glasvagas the other week and he said they were excellent. unlike glas, who he reckoned were shite ![]()
I caught White Lies at Lovebox last summer. I'd already heard them on xfm and didn't think I'd like them much. I figured I'd go to another stage after a couple of songs but ended up staying for the whole set. So not as shite as expected. But I don't know if I'd pay specifiacally to see them.
As for Glasvegas. Well you know when you discover a band before they're famous, and then suddenly they're famous and loads of people start saying that they DON'T like them? I start to take it personally! How dare you!! As for seeing them live, I saw them three times in 2008. My only complaint on each occasion was that the set was too short. If you like them on record you'll love em live. If you don't...you won't.
very Editors/Interpol/Bunnymen etc... they're gonna have to sell millions to recoup. they've got some serious management/pluggers/press people behind them and they haven't even released an lp. talking of which, the limited vinyl version looks suspiciously Factory-esque.

Just spent much of weekend listening to album, and it's pretty darn good. Much more cheerful than i expected. I reckon they will recoup and some.
And Edel, get the album, it's not emo, i can promise. More like early Tears for Fears, with a lot of JD/NO thrown in. In short, it's a winner.
