Doctor you seem to have quite an unsettling fascination with President Obama getting shot. You've started two almost identical threads on the subject in as many days. A bit odd and in kinda bad taste if you ask me.

As someone has already pointed out this isn't the 1960's. It's not even the 1980's. Society progresses, that's why we don't burn witches anymore. You're right, there hasn't been that much change in administration. The frontman in the suit happens to be black this time. America is still a big planet-raping capitalist bohemoth and always will be. Nothing's ever gonna change that.

What Obama's election (hopefully) represents however is a sea-change in outlook and perspective among the MAJORITY of the American population. And that's no bad thig.

Thing is, I believe the people who wanted to shoot Shrub, wanted to do so because he was an evil,warped, end-timer who was too stupiud to make money in oil in Texas, and as such were completely rational, and therefor never WOULD.

The ones who want to shoot Obama, want to do so based on the frequencies of light reflected by his external cell membrane, which pretty much = mental/dense/both and therefor much more likely to give it a go.
