Yes, I think that is the one. I remember that line also. I think my blue cover which has all four members in squares on the front (looks like it could have even been shot around the pier) had some reference to Chapters, actually on the reverse side.

It is tricky tracking down bootlegs that you haven't already got isn't it. Can't the robbers stick to one name?

Hacienda '84 in your collection Martin? ... a good gig also.

Think I may have that on a battered old C90 somewhere: was it originally available on vinyl, Hunsty???? And, if so, under what "enigmatic" title did it emerge???

Well, my version too is on cassette. It has a green cover with a b lack and white shot of all four members on the front (very ropey quality) - a picture I've not come across since. I can't remember the track listing but it has things like 'Sooner', 'Temptation' (a good version) and bits and pieces on it. A complete gig.

It was one of the first gigs I picked up in bootleg world so I'm talking possibly 1985 I got this! (a year after the gig). Is it me or do live gigs appear about 6 months after the gig then go out of circulation? ... anyway I think for definite it is 1984. I am in my loft tonight where all of my material is stored (I'm trying to locate an item for Rocket Mick) if anyone has anything they have been after for a while let me know ... I might have it.

Leed's Tiffany's 1985? - one of the best live tapes I've got. Also, a 3 hour VHS with almost 'all' tv appearances from about 1982 onwards.

Hacienda gigs 85 and 86. They didn't play there in 84 - they did in January and July 83, and twice on the same night in June 82.

Well my cassette could have been listed wrong, or I could have mixed up the years. I'm pretty certain it was '84 - I'm probably wrong. I'll dig the cassette out, I'd be interested to know which gig it actually was ... if it wasn't as stated on the cover.

Trust me, I know where and when they played.....

Easy E, did you get my email?

Quick & Easy gig list (with tracks) can be found here >> Water Rat's site

I don't trust anything I can't eat. I clicked on big Al's rat centre but it took a while to load. By the sounds of things I'm wrong, I'll have a look at what gig I've actually got.

That Water Rat place is excellent, cheers Al.

Be warned though, the Rat domain does contain occasional errors amidst what is a magnificent record of years of crap gigs and muddy sound.......

If you spot anything wrong, Easy, just mail him. He's a fairly amiable chap.

Huntsy, tis indeed a wopper of a file, but it does make searches and stuff fairly easy. Wouldn't touch it from home as a rule, but we download at, like, a 1Gb/sec in the office, so I'm laughing here!

Mmmmmm, just checked the Water Rat site for the first time - excellent stuff!!! Pity there aren't more fan entries/memories (when I get round to writing THE New Order book this will be rectified, let me assure you), and the 2002 gigs need adding, but a wonderful resource nevertheless.

Wish the band still necked Pernod like there was no tomorrow, though - I'd forgotten just how funny/crass they could be.....!!!!!

Al it went directly into my all time favourites folder without passing go or being sent down for any length of time. Just when you think you've got a handle on mostly all NO resource another rat leaks out of the wood worm. Top stuff! ... I will seek out the gigs I've been to and see if I can see any old names (Dick Turpin, Henry V etc.)

This site could become as extensive as RatWorld given some effort by us all.

512k a sec. is our ration at work ... I had about 5 programs up when I first went to the centre, I'll give it another whirl. Either way 1Gig at any second sounds like paradise (the remix preferably on this occasion).

Water Rat's site did boast a newspage up until last year, I think it was, but he took this down as he said he had little time on his hands.

But he still maintains the New Order gigography and, of course, there's also a JD gigography here >> JD at Water Rat << but, be warned, they don't seem to gig too often these days, so that never gets added to. Strange that, I've heard they're quite popular.

Anyone ever sequentially read through all the comments pages ? Some wonderful snippets here ! It's quite funny listening to the tapes, and then reading the various interpretations of what was said. I see Mr Jarvis has made a sizeable contribution to this site - I'll have to do likewise I think.

Looks like someone misheard the Ethiopian prostitute gag entirely?

More men than our Guinness? Boom, er, boom? :eek3:

There's some absolute classics of misinterpretation on there - I downloaded the whole page for perusal while accompanied by tape. Classics :)

Yes, quite impressed with some of your stuff as well. I'll e-mail you this evening. Do you want Berkeley on CD or tape ? It's currently on tape, so I'll have to find a way to get it converted. Ideas anyone ?
