Add a spoonfull of brandy to the milk before you knock out your batter.

if making a dessert pancake that is

half beer/half milk for savoury pancakes

heavy base seven inch pan and a bit of light Olive Oil

you can now toss in private or show off

if you fuck up, Tesco do a microwave version and the french ones are crepe

all the junior Mac's are due in my kitchen later, it'll be bedlam, tears afore bedtime etc

family gatherings natch

last year none of the young Mac's would eat them, make them yes, make a load of them yes, make them with their own little hands using the freshest of ingredients ... YES

but eat them them, hell no

could have used them for a hard standing if I ever wanted a caravan.

hence the all new 'featuring' Brandy recipe, if I've got to eat them; then it's on MY terms

no wonder it's called Mardi Gras, fat tuesday indeedy

I went into Tesco specifically to buy pancake mix, lemon, nutella, etc. Bumped into an old friend and had a 20 minute chat.

Came home and realised I'd forgotten everything pancake related. Pancake day is now tomorrow for me.

Serves you right for

a) going to tesco

and

b) intending to buy pancake mix.

Plain flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, salt is not hard to fuck up.

I'd like to report that like last year, savoury pancakes are indeed the future of pancake day. Sauteed Potatoes (thats fried spuds), red onion, spinach, cheese sauce and a bit of bacon. A fine fine way to use a pancake.

elephantitis of the testicles is hugely funny, elephantitis of the sphincter would be a better example.

Nope, we Episcopalians have ourselves an early start to the pancake party. Methodists are welcome though.

well tossing your mates and then rolling it into a thick cigar shape before putting it into your mouth and sucking out the filling would probably get you barred from most private members clubs hereabouts, so use some discretion; oh and never ever throw your batter about in a cottage.

cottaging is for bored popstars and plain clothes coppers
