been collecting official Oscar Posters for a few years now, started with Alex Ross' 2002 poster 'The Gold Knight Returns' ( don't know how to do a link but it's a great poster and Alex Ross may well be familiar to a few of you )

anyway, ordered the poster Sunday night UK time, and it was delivered ten minutes ago from California, USA. Brilliant.

now my real point is this, Tate Britain which is only in London took almost two weeks to process and deliver a similar order (for a poster) after a 'phone call it transpired that Royal Mail were responsible for the delay and they charged more for P and P.

so as much as I love and cherish the idea of our Royal Mail, they really will have to up their game if they want to compete/survive the current Government proposals

and again that Alex Ross poster is ace

this years is a bit average though

Ask yourself this......

Would YOU hang on to any piece of mail to or from NI for a microsecond longer than you had to?

often wondered back in the late seventies how long a parcel containing Play-Doh would last en route to or from NI before a controlled explosion took the edge of some kids xmas/birthday present

Sod the prezzies.....what about xmas cake? Marzipane looks, feels and smells and awful lot like a well known eastern eurpoean form of plastique, popular with spudmunching fuckwitts. If spending Xmas in Bellshaft in the 80's one really ought to always have checked the cake for wires.

ROYAL MAIL is in this shit state because of the Government. As soon as they opened the market in the UK to every Tom,Dick and Harry,it mean't that the likes of DEUTCHE POST,TNT,DHL etc were getting to"cherry-pick" all the lucrative parcel contracts.but left the minimal profit stuff like your Xmas cards t Ryal Mail. This week, the Gvernment's "bailing" out Ryal Mail's Pensin Fund deficit......if they can sell some of RoyalMail off.

It's the same what they've dne t the Post Office, supposedly "lending a hand" but they fucked us up by taing half f our services off us. :machinegun:

I order a lot of computer parts, as you know, and not just for myself, I buld machine for people all the time. All the delivery services round here are great with the exception of SMS....who suck everywhere, and make my job miserable too. There was ONE bloke from Royal Mail who threw an entire computer into my hallway and nearly wrecked the video card....never seen that guy again though.

Big fan of Royal Mail, they are a service not just a business.

You need a new keyboard Monty, your Os are fucked.
