The BBC has revealed that it is to put licence payers money to good use for once, having secured a digital package that must have caused Bernie Ecclestone to wince.
In addition to bringing Murray Walker out of mothballs and securing the services of motor-mouth Eddie Jordan, the British broadcaster has confirmed that it will be using the theme tune (Fleetwood Mac's The Chain) that delighted F1 fans year in, year out, until Bernie did a secret deal with ITV.

Excellent news, but will it be the original, or will they give it the "top gear" treatment?

When they tried the remix on the WRC coverage in 99 or 2000, it was universally LOATHED, I doubt they'd be so stupid after getting everything else so right.

I always get The Fever at this time of year (now and about a week before Le Mans). More excited this year than most....BBC....The Chain...multichannels....live FreeP' 1,2 and 3...fucked wings and real tyres. Only downside is Eddie Jordan being on board, he's great and he's a laugh, but 'twas he that my recently departed bestest mate, EJ was named for, so it could be tricky to hear the name over and over......hopefully I'll be in a V8 induced state of euphoria though.
EDIT: and as for me turning my free will and higher brain functions over to the flying spaghetti monster.....OH YE OF LITTLE FAITH.....well done, I'm proud of ye's ;)
