I was surprised to see that Jonathan Creek was based on him.

Don't know why though; I've never seen it.

Keep getting Ali Bongo mixed up with that other one,y'know... twat, fat, and not at all entertaining, his name escapes me, but he made my childhood miserable with his crap tricks. Ali was defo a class act though.

As the president of the Magic Circle, Ali Bongo offered Brown & Darling honorary membership.

He said that their ability to make billions of pounds appear from nowhere was a stroke of genius!

Downing Street said this was a great honour, but Darling & Brown were working on their greatest illusion yet - making all the banks disappear from private ownership.

I was amazed he was still alive up to this week to be honest. I met him over twenty years ago, and he looked blooming old then. :scratch:
