Anyone watched this on BBC2?
A brilliant comedian used to be on anything by Armando Iannucci, and it comes across as a Morrissey lookalike doing stand-up with the odd sketch in between, but has the odd moments of brilliant sarcasm. He's finally got his own show at 40.
watched it yesterday. the northerners at 7mins in seemed very real to me. is it a documentary or a comedy programme?

Yes the 'Northerners' was wicked. 'Not every town is named after a cake.'
I forgot he did the Ian Curtis gag too.

ive enjoyed it so far.he's always been a bit different.
sometimes it can get pretty dark.
it was great in the first of the series when he was giving the lad from ' so solid crew ' some stick and almost asking to be shot

Used to like the shows he did with Richard Herring in the 90's, Fist Of Fun and This Morning with Richard, Not Judy.
Aye been having a look. Had forgotten all about him til recently. Used to watch the stuff he did with Lee Herring. He ripped into Chris Moyles in the first show and had to agree with his opinions on the Only Fools & Horses bit where Del Boy falls through the bar - mildly funny but by nowhere near the "funniest thing ever in television history"

jerry springer the opera was good, his last few stand up tours have been superb. not sure this short format really works though
herring has also been good on his last few tours, would be good to see tmwrnj released on dvd
