Morrissey then. I don't quite know why i never bothered much with his solo stuff. Just could never fully accept Johnny Marr not being there or something i suppose. Feel like i've missed out on a lot sometimes in a way by giving his albums a miss. The Smiths' Queen Is Dead was a massive album for me in summer 1986 and Strangeways Here We Come just over a year later too. So not taking interest in Morrissey's solo stuff is a bit odd maybe.

Discovered recently, to great surprise, Everyday Is Like Sunday is actually about a seaside resort we visited every single summer when we were kids - Borth, in Wales. Always thought the song was about Eastbourne or somewhere dismal like that. Borth was never dismal, always hot and sunny, and the best sand dunes in Blighty:nod:

But anyway, hope yer had a good un, Mozza :birthday: I'm sure you'll be reading this so here's to the good old days of 86/87

The video for Everyday Is Like Sunday is set on location in Southend, Essex. Within spitting distance of DM's stomping ground.

It'll likely be on the solo forums.

I must say, I was thinking of going down tomorrow. But what a horrible set list. Apart from Best Friend on the Payroll (which isnt a great version) and Black Cloud. There is nothing, absolsutely nothing I havent heard before which I would want to hear.

Eh... so it's a belated birthday cheer.

Still kinda pissed though, picked a fcuked-up time to 'fall ill' and cancel that gig some 3 months back. :nonono:
