Ooooh, I bet she accessorises this one.

Seriously though, she gets officially refused a few months ago and then on appeal it "mysteriously" gets approved a few months later.

That must have been one whopping big cheque to the Malawi authorities.

African corruption? What African corruption? :uhoh:

The judge agreed to the appeal after chacking his bank balance. So there you have it, money can indeed buy you love.

Mind you, I'd sooner she was making herself busy buying kids rather than recording another album!

What's so big about this one African kid. So his family didn't want to give him up... bet there are plenty more where he came from. Why not choose from one of them? I'm not understanding this at all.

I don't care if people adopt kids that other people cannot raise, but it'd be sad if some people in the world do this simply as a status symbol kind of thing. (I dunno about Madonna's case.)

Maybe this kid matches the other kid and she has a set now.

I understand your point, she has literally over a million homeless orphans under 5 to choose from in central Africa from Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Congo. Plus starving kids up in Ethiopia and Somalia. And she has to be picky.

Well, you wouldn't want to pick one that didn't match your handbag would you.

S'a bit creepy.

The little blighter's life expectancy just rocketted, which is good for him, but would be better if she dumped a few mill into an orphanage or something, thereby increasing the life expectancy of a bunch of wee little 'uns.

To be fair, I think she pumps a fair wedge into the orphanage or local schools or something.

It'll ruin his education, moving to seppoland.

He shall grow up well fed and warm at night. But he will most likely also grow up as a vacuous, pointless media-whore, not even with the oxygen he consumes. Is poverty the price of havin a soul?

That's why the words "Mr Campbell, you're sterile" hold no fear whatsoever for me.

Why 18? There are plenty, like Liam, that hung around well into their mid 20s?

Early 20s angst, what would we do without it, eh?:skeptic:

This really riles me.

On the other hand, have a friend of a friend who has been going through the 'adoption process' - what a complete load of SH1T that really is. I don't think I should go into too many details, but the local authority - after months and months of questions like 'and how are you'? A: Yes fine thanks. 'No, really, how ARE you?'........ finally let them see 2 children who couldnt be parted, waved the carrot and then did a swift turnaround on the 'deal'.

And yes, money did come into it. What a fabulous caring system we have in this cuntry.

You can be same sex, any race, any religion, but oooooohhhh, you can't smoke, drink or be overweight to adopt! (This couple were none of the above might I add - but were classed as too 'professional' in their worklives, and therefore may not be suitable.........fcs!)

Madonna? Stupid cow x 10 - she, like other so-called celebs ought to try and worry about their own a little more, and spend their energy trying to change stupid systems in the West.

(I didn't ever get 10 out of 10 for PC)

The current craze in CA is to avoid the local system and adopt from China. Seems every 10th household has one around here, kinda a status badge it seems...
