One of the newspapers did a story this morning about Stig revealed as Shumi. Bet there's a few red faces at the newsroom this morning.

Of course it's not true. Well, technically I suppose it was true for that one lap (it's been reported today that that particular FXX was Schumacher's own, and I don't suppose he was about to let some ex Touring Car driver have the keys...). Also the sketch at the end where 'Michael' completely messed up the lap in the Lianna proved that they were joking.
There are several Stigs, aren't there? - sometimes dependant on what car is being driven at the time, for instance the Renault F1 car that went round in 58 seconds a few series ago was being driven by Hekki Kovalainen (the then Renault test-driver).
It's got to have been a PR stunt and quite an effective one too as obviously everyone including us is talking about it. Bit tedious though... as if Schumacher was turning up every week to test out the reasonably priced car.

All the F1 driver use the Lianna, as they don't come on that often, they could hardly discard the times they already had.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari only allowed TG to use the FXX if Schumacher was driving, and if it didn't get to the top of the board they couldn't show the footage, some of these supercar manufacturers are very fickle.
Wasn't top gear much Nicer with William Woolard, Chris Goffy, Tony Mason, Noel Edmunds and Angela Rippon, very sedate!
