So I suppose it finally had to happen.

So... Can members of the board guess which member of the board threatened to smash a glass in my face, only then to chicken out of doing it, and then to try and play best friends?

One Pint to whoever can guess*

*People who guess must not have been within a twenty mile radius of tonights Kraftwerk gig.

FFS Liam let it drop. You WERE being a cock. And you were lucky that scrote didn't have a gun or a blade on him.

Insulting somebody's bird isn't on either.

Sometimes you have to question why people have a go...

For the ever important record, i made a comment towards a criminal trying to sell us stolen goods. This was greeted by a member of the board repeatedly threatening to smash a glass in my face.

Nice.

Top gig then?

Oooh.. what was he selling?.. and more importantly, how much?

Hmmm... Criminal?... Surely innocent until proven guilty?

Interestingly, its an offence to buy suspected stolen goods off an individual, but said individual is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. A bit of a legal conflict there, no?

A boxed Swiss Watch (RRP £129) for £20.

If it was a Casio Digital I'd have snatched his arm off.

The gig was fantastic, the only arguments amongst ourselves were before and after.

A lady of rare taste and refinement.

And Liam, when someone decides NOT to give you a free ticket to some cosmetic surgery, that you could possibly do with (y'know, to remove the perpetually miserably expression, that sort of thing), it is NOT wise to then berate them for doing so.......it's a bit like a judge acquiting you of a crime you're guilty of, and you scratching his merc on the way out of court.

As my mate Tony always says ‘if you go around asking for a fight you’d better be prepared to have a fight’.

Not really doing yourself any favours, are you Liam?

Why the need to put this online?

Having one of the soundest/nicest folk here threaten you? So nice, I once said of him he could make "Monty look like a cunt". And seeing as Monty is the nicest bloke ever, that's going some, innit?

Because I was quite amazingly pissed.

Anyway, clearly not one of the nicest people around. Say what you want about me, but i've never threatened anyone with any kind of violence. This person did it repeatedly. Over and over again. So it wasnt like it was a slip of the tongue.

I wonder what people would think if he actually did it? :confused2:

You saying you're blameless in all of this, Liam? You love to play the enfant terrible. Someone sooner or later is gonna lose their rag with you. The fact that it's who-it-is makes it all the more surprising. As I've said, someone I consider one of the 'nicer' folk here as well.

As I've said, I made a flippant comment to a criminal trying to sell dodgy gear. For this, I was greeted with repeated threats of having a glass smashed in my face. So yeah, I would consider myself blameless in this situation.

Now, if he'd actually done it, i'd be in hospital, witha reasonable chance my career would be fucked. He'd be in a cell. Not nice, is it?

Me and Dave were actually talking about another person who used to post here who made threats of violence in person, i dont think he was ever considered a 'nicer' bloke again, was he?

Why would your career be fuct if you were attacked by someone?

Your career would shirley have a better chance of being fcut if someone did a Fradders on you and cut&pasted some of the stuff you'd spouted on here?

Who's that last comment about? Kershie? He's never actually threatened anyone in the flesh has he? (That's a genuine question, not a rhetorical one. I only remember him at Liverpool and don't remember shenanigans there)

I lost my beloved Casio last week :(

(Might change my user name to 'thon orddige bint', thanks Steve)

Anyway, back to the subject, lets hope there will be no grudges held, as paths will inevitably be crossed.

It happened.

Get over it.

So, I better make a guess.

Fiver on Banshee, I can't imagine anyone getting a rise out of him, but I can imagine Liam gettin a rise out of a stone/leaf/slug.

And you're most welcome to the username :D When I'm a star, there will be a tagline in the credits of all my blockbusters "Mr Campbell's timepieces supplied by Casio"

no such ruckus in the pasty queue, though why there was a pasty stall is beyond me.

being a bit frivolous there I know, but then again the persona and pretty much the name I use on here ( offline I tend to be called Macca or GazMac )is exactly the same as it is when I meet any of you folk.

Liam I first met you at the Gretton gig meet up with Shug n Rocket etc, and I guess the way you posted then was pretty much the same as how you were on that day.

by liverpool pops, it was a quick hello

by yesterday I had no real connection to your various musings etc so I neither sought or avoided your company, again it would have been a civil hello or a brief chat and away to our respective lives.

but, and I know I am basing this on the posts on here, I am not at all surprised someone has taken issue with you on a physical basis.

throw alcholol into the mix and the memories of some of your postings and maybe the fella had heard and read enough.

I remember the first time I read the term KEYBOARD WARRIOR, I think it was Jarvo coined it though not in connection with you at the time I must add

I thought how unstuck would such a fellow come when he met his peers at a gig?

and now I have the answer,

still best wishes and all that but may I suggest you show this thread to your pupils and ask them to guess the age of the anonymous 'Teacher'

You really hide behind societies laws dontcha? One of these days you'll find someone that doesn't care two shites for those laws and lays you out flat; then you'll realize those laws are all but a thin facade of the real-world.

Too bad whoever it was didn't do it, you would have been better off and smarter as a result... since he backed down your still the ball-less cunt like always.

Fucking bargain! bloke must have been desperate at that price. By the way, very, very naughty to threaten to glass someone, can often leave permanent damage in more ways than you could imagine. Liam may well have been acting the dick but a glassing.:nono: Now lets see if you can all play nicely at the Freebass gigs!!!

I wasn't at last night's momentous event, but as I understand it:

a) Glassing someone is a horrible violent act which can leave people badly scarred, psychologically and emotionally traumatized and - if you hit the right artery - it can even cause death.

b) Threatening to glass someone isn't very nice, but it doesn't leave any damage. Though it does make for a half-decent internet anecdote.

c) The surreal idea of someone getting 'glassed' at a Kraftwerk gig is surely the basis of a really good joke and/or comedy sketch. I expect it to crop up in the next series of "Peep Show" or somesuch.

Many thanks, and best wishes.

For the record, coversation went like this:

Person X (no one has yet claimed their pint, so I'd hate to ruin the contest): "If you dont shut up, i'll smash this glass in your face,"

Me: "You havent got the balls to do it"

repeat about seven or eight times.

And in the end, said person didnt have the balls to do it.

So I guess there is your answer.

gosh, you're so brave facing down a fella with a glass seven or maybe even eight times. May I be the first on these boards to give you that recognition/kudos/whatever it is you seek, well done sir. meself I'd probably have fucked off, almost fifty now and aware of me own mortality etc, well I deffo would have fooked off if the fella was a total stranger, if however he was known to me..... hang on I may have stayed... packed pub, with friends and fellow nools, fella probably not known for his violence, fella not the sort who'd want to spend time in the big house... hmmm, maybe I would have taken a calculated risk on not being glassed.

no I'd have fooked off, almost fifty now and aware of me own ability to look an even bigger cunt, yeah I think I'd have changed me pub.

other business re:your above post

the answer I had arrived at however is slightly different, I figured there'd be some mild altercation with the potential to escalate into serious violence, however the violence would never occur due to the fact that despite on and offline spouting of bollox most people would wait for the red mist to dissipate, put the glass down and think the poor cunt's got enough problems.

still if you prefer your answer, fair do's

thanks for qouting me in full though and answering part of it

and as for MY suggested contest wherein your pupils have to guess the age of the anonymous 'teacher' how's that coming along

I've simply stated the facts of what happened. I've not suggested any answer/explanation/defence of what happened. I'll re-iterate again that I was repeatedly threatened to have a glass smashed in my face because of a comment I made to a guy trying to sell dodgy gear. I could maybe understand if the guy who I made the comment to had a go back, but the person sat opposite me? Nah.

Of course, I'm not surprised, considering the person in question spent a substantial amount of time in Wolfsburg trying to bury me to anyone who would listen (Which, thankfully, was pretty much nobody). Why? I dont know.

Also, all my pupils know I'm twenty five. I dont see what that has to do with anything.
