Everyone I know who has been says the same thing: it's how festivals should be/used to be.

Which means that this year, with everyone telling their mates the same thing, it'll probably be as shit as all the others. Good line-up, mind.

just 'cause they're pretty doesn't mean the shit don't stink.

Nice part of the country - just outside Southwold in Suffolk which I've just come back from holiday.

We considered it this year Bansh as it is such a good lineup. Would rather do the lesser known or boutique festivals than the big ones. If only because the toilets are better!

Rock Ness and Belladrum were brilliant. Even looking at Kendal Calling and the Bingley one now.

A couple of my mates went to that Kendal Jerting last year and really enjoyed it. That Bingley one looks good, dead cheap too.

Have a good 'un Bansh. :thumb:

A treck but worth it.best festival ive been, large enough site so not packed as only about 25,000 allowed.never manic, very chilled.very varied with stages/tents doing books, films, art, comedy. the lake is lovely with coloured sheep.it was all very civilised.watched 'Avant garde' on the water, visually they are amazing!! Sat in the litarary tent to live 'Afternoon tea with stuart marconie' , a great experience. saw all of - Doves,Saint etienne(lovely way to spend a sunay evening),iLIKETRAINS,Shaun lock. missed magazine

saw parts of -Editors,Tricky,Grace jones,Pheonix and many others. Thom Yorke started by saying 'dont clap along to any of this because even i dont know what the fucks coming next'. Biggest nutter was TRICKY,in a packed tent he jumped onto the crowd during his last song and crowd surfed all the way to the back and out the exit  another good thing was it was not at all muddy dispite loads of rain friday night and sunday tea

MONTY sarah looked and sounded fantastic MIKE forgot camera in the rush but saw some great tits and a fella on stage in the poet tent talking about growing up in chorley !

I was in Barcelona this weekend. It wasn't windy at all and the flight back was full of Bencassim casualties who all said that there was a large fire, which destroyed most of the tents, but then heavy rain put it out. None of the bands played, they just spat at the audience and then a pack of wild dogs ran onto the site and bit everyone's legs. No mention of wind though, apart from that caused by all the food poisoning.

Hope this helps.

Yes very helpful thanks. But really I'm bitter as I was secretly hoping it was going to be rubbish.
