Gus Gus

I've just recently re-discovered 'mad-as-chips' Icelandic band Gus Gus. Seem to have been some big secret over here, although I do remember 'David' being a hit.

Anyone ever seen this lot live? (I dont even know if they are still going)

I dig their quirkiness, and the pixie bird in this video was talking on XFM the other day (again mad as chips but endearing).

Believe is on my Winter 2007 playlist. I liked this song at once. The video was different, a swimmer at a pool...

Only songs of theirs i was ever familiar with were 'Believe'and 'Purple' back in about 1997. Always meant to get round to checking out more stuff by em . Might have a look on Spotify over the weekend

Not so keen on that live version of Believe in the youtube clip there, though. Version i liked was on some Northern Exposure CD - John Digweed.

Thanks for reminding me of them. I have Polydistortion and Attention. Polydistortion only has a couple of really good tunes, but Attention is great. I especially love David, and not only because that is my name. :) If they're not big in the UK, you can imagine how insignificant they are in the US. Any album recommendations besides the two I already have?
