Alright, I'm not listening to radio very much since a few years, the thing I'm doing is mostly downloading mp3 of the songs charted so I can actually listen to them.

It might not be the best way, but sometimes you find some gems that are really good, some songs you might not like at all too.

What are you listening these days..? Here is the list of songs I do enjoy, but note that I might have no prior history with some of those bands, so don't flame me for loving their song.

Puddle of Mudd - Blurry Nickelback - How You Remind Me Avril Lavigne - Complicated Sheryl Crow - Soak Up The Sun Our Lady Peace - Somewhere Out There Jimmy Eat World - The Middle Hoobastank - Crawling In The Dark

These are the only ones I've liked in the whole thing, it's not so bad.

There is a Doves song in our alternative chart! It's Caught by the River, and a ColdPlay song (In My Place) I'm eager to like... I do like ColdPlay...!

As far as the radio, I haven't heard anything new that I like, but most of the stations I listen to are oldies stations, so what does that tell you?...anyway, here's some songs I keep going back to:

I'm Waiting For The Day--Beach Boys Roadrunner--Jonathan Richman Mr. Disco--New Order Arnold Layne--Pink Floyd

Hospital - Jonathan Richman Newborn(long version) - Elbow Hash Pipe - Weezer The Essential Mix - Adam Freelan Melody AM - Royksopp Freak Scene - Dinosaur Jnr

unlike many, i'm quite fond of chris moyles' show on radio one, where he plays remixes of eminems latest tune (can't remember what it's called). my particular fave is the one where he's 'rapping' against the ground force theme tune (a kind of brass band oom pah tune for those of you not fortunate enough to be able to view the marvellous alan titchmarsh and his bra-less water feature expert charlie dimmock). they also played one of him rapping over inspector gadget. hours of fun ...

otherwise i am mostly listening that excellent aphrodite remix of 'all over me' and old school housey stuff, with a bit of no and roses thrown in for good measure.

wish you hadn't asked?

Having just purchased The Doves Lost Souls - I have been listening to that and The Last Broadcast. Not much stuff in the charts grabs my attention, although that Coldplay song is always on, which kinnda grows on ya - The Strokes is an album I play every now and then - I usually wait for one of me mates to give me something to listen to.

I'm now finally coming down from listening to all the crazy warped fractured beatscapes and am settling into a far more mellow and languid mood. Stuff like;

Bent - Programmed for Love Groove Armada - Vertigo Tindersticks - Curtains Morcheeba - Charango

Anyone heard the new record by Baxter Dury ? It's utterly brilliant - like nothing you'd expect from the son of the late Earl of Upminster Ian (RIP).

Foxbase Alpha - St. Etienne

It's as close to perfect as one band can get i think....it keeps popping up in the rotation and then stays for weeks....Jeff, did you pick this gem up yet?
