Am a lefty so I had to get it "corrected". During said "correction" had some EMG's dropped in it. Have you played it yet? What is the "vintage". I may just dust mine off & to celebrate yer get & also play homage to a certain Mr. Hook of Madchester. Congrats!

Wind back 20 years, I had a choice; fairly new Aria at £60 or a black EB2 at £300. I wanted the EB2 but didn't have enough brass, my Aria is now battered and worth a tenner.

The Eccleshall sounds a million times better, though. There's a reason why Hooky didn't stick with his EB-2 for long.

It's a pity, because I really love the look of those, and the Ecc is well nigh unattainable.

In fairness, Hooky's troubles were related to live use of the instrument, it howls it's knackers off.....probably the semi hollow body, and the Gibby pickups, which are well known for microphonics, and even directly coil feedback, as well as normal resonant feedback types.
