Can I just say that, even though much of it is frankly embarrassing, I really like the Oliver Stone biopic. The gig scenes are fantastic (even though, er, they do not in any way resemble the reality of going to a Pop Concert). A career best for Val Kilmer also, IMHO. Jim Morrison: genius pop star, arsehole of a human being - and the film nails this on the head.
Kilmer was married to Joanne Whalley for a while. Every heterosexual British male of a certain age feels a special twinge when they remember "The Singing Detective". Especially Cambo:
