Snow Day!

My car was under 7" of snow. Took 20 mins to get to the main road. Sat in traffic for an hour. Sacked it off.
Just been for a lovely walk in the snow. Now home and intend to spend the rest of today horizontal and watching films. Hopefully it will continue to fall and I can do much of the same tomorrow 
There's a fair chance of a day off tomorrow Jem, apparently salt stocks are running so low that there's has been a high level decision prioritising all available grit supplies to be moved to the south east (important for the economy to keep them going and all that) so our roads could be blocked until it thaws. Fingers crossed then!

Woke up to about an inch of snow this morning,but thats been it,I reckon the Frankie Boyle joke about global warning and watching the Ingerlish drown,might just be truer than he knew!

Had around 4" of snow here. Most we've had in years. It was -6C the other night too.
Still made us work until 4pm though!
Wish it would stop. Now that the passport service no longer require us at night, my wonderful employer has us taking calls for Eon energy.....I now spend my nights telling people they have to freeze to death because nobody, from the call centre to the engineering contractors has made any effort to employ anyone extra during the weather.....I mean who'd have thought you'd need more heating and gas engineers in arctic weather.

We have 30 centimeters of snow, and -21C right now. It will get colder though.

got up at 7, been making a 9ft snowman all day and walking the dog.

Took me 40 minutes to get off our estate today.When I got near work,had the lovely experience of going up hill dodging Transit vans sliding backwards towards me.It was like something off X-BOX. Tomorrow we've been told,if we can't get to our regular place of work,to pop in to our nearest Crown office to lend a hand,or if that's out of the question,then just sit on my arse...

That's why the scammers call it "climate change" now..Global warming was too easy to disprove. The current rule among those who jobs depend on this shit being real is "whatever the hell the weather does, that's DEFINITELY the work of man made CO2"

I've just officially abandoned the thought of a trip to Petersfield from Sarfff London. Mind you, I abandoned that thought about 1am last night, whilst cracking open another tin.

Made it in to work this morning but was allowed home again at 10. Took An hour and ten to get from Hilsea to Waterlooville. That wasn't your abandoned car I passed was it!? (One of MANY if it was!).
