Finally saw one today.

They didn't take the recycling though, which has been there since Christmas.

My bin was last emptied on Tuesday 15th December. If I get home tonight and it's full, I'll be dumping it on the Public Hall steps.

The Daily Mail ran a piece recently on binmen earning 50k a year.

It was in the Mail so it must be true.

Our regular bins, not the recycling ones, haven't been emptied since before Xmas. Binmen should be round this coming Thursday but we've got more snow forecast for tomorrow. Deep fcuking joy.

Our recycling and bins have been collected on a regular basis, without fail, even in the little bit of snow we had. Never at a terribly early time in the morning, the clattering sounds are left until at least 11am. They even collect Christmas trees and garden waste for recycling.

Blimey! that's a bit controversial Chris:evil4:

Our bins have been fine too, I'm not surprised with Bolton though, all the binmen (i refuse to say refuse collectors, I'm not that PC) got a pay CUT last year! I bet the person who came up with that idea has a huge pile of rubbish in their front garden:nono:

This reminds me of an incident when a senior colleague of mine complained in a departmental meeting that the cleaners weren't replenishing the bog roll in the toilets often enough. Once I stopped internally giggling at the thought of her sat on the crapper with shit all over her professorial arse and nothing to wipe with, I got quite angry.

Where do you get off complaining about women working for minimum wage, who are employed to clean up your piss and shit, when you are earning £50k a year?

Obviously, however, this is a completely different case to binmen, who are all millionaires.

I ended up taking six bags to the tip myself.

Apparently all our 'refuse collection workers' were assigned to higher priority tasks - one of which must have been sending a snow plough down my road once the thaw was well under way.

Presumably if everyone is out collecting rubbish now, there will be no-one available to fix the pot-holes.

It might look like the country is going to the dogs, what with a bit of snow and lazy binmen shaking the south of England to its very foundations, but WORRY NOT fellow citizens, for the Smug Fat-Faced Cunt below will soon be coming to save us all.

Only problem with that is Chris lives in the south and his bins are fine, Jem lives in the north, and her bins are overflowing.

But he is a smug, fat faced cunt.

they're a set of lazy cnuts. at oldham, where my brother works as a road sweeper, the bnmen refused to leave the depot because of "snow", but didnt do anything else. our kid had to physically carry grit into the town centre to clear pavements whilst they were sat on their arses. then he had to drive the trailer lorry round the district, picking up refuse with the parks and gardens lads.

maybe its because of the forthcoming government initiative to take dole-ite teenagers and give them a job, putting thousands of agency binmen out of one, even though they've been collecting your rubbish for years and council after council promised then permanent positions...

50K a year? If that's the case they can leave my emptied bin outside my house where they found it,not down the end of the street.

Cnuts!

The reason our 'sanitation engineers' make £50k a year is because of the health hazards. Also I heard that in Manchester there is a waiting list for people wanting to become said engineers! True story
