Not fair comparing anyone to the mess Hague made of things. What kind of an ignorant cunt all but mutes a whole band member's part.
I understand that producers have an issue with this style of bass, especially involving heavy strings, because even high notes will have an evil bottom end, but that's up to the engineer to sort out with EQ and compression, not for a producer to just say "mute that noise" or to put a highpass in at about 200Hz.
