What the fuck's a Business English test?
You have to know how to end a letter properly when opening with "Dear Sir or Madam"?
Or just need to be aux fait with lots of wanky office jargon (although we typically blame the Americans and don't see these as 'English', per se): helicopter view, blue-sky thinking, run it up the flagpole, win-win solutions, etc.

I've never heard these so don't blame this on the Americans.

You need to go to more department meetings. ![]()
I heard a couple of those at work this morning Al.
I stopped the meeting and asked, "What are you talking about?"
Not sure how well I'm going to get on in this job... ![]()

I hate that type of catch-phrase talking. Anyone who uses it in their daily language needs to be flogged. I refuse to talk like this... and have had an occasion when someone tried to correct me, "so you mean you're requesting a ballpark figure on something that is out-of-the-box thinking?"
This did drive me nuts, but I am starting to think edu-speak is worse drivel that really makes me wanna bash my head in with a rock.
printables, foldables, collaborative thematic units, scaffolding instruction, and the most annoying of them all, realia (something that you bring to the classroom that is real for the students to touch).
The physics teacher that hired me told me the admin almost didn't choose me because I didn't speak the language well enough. I take that as a compliment.![]()

Yes, how to write a letter is part of it...
Well I have to do that subject here at university of applied science (another fine word
). Company forms, European Union and "What is Marketing?" are the main topics.
I don't think it's gonna be a problem, though.
If anyone of you has to write a business German test - I'm there
.
