I know there are a few fans on here and I'm certainly one of them so... for those interested. Due out April 5th apparently.

DISC ONE – The Best Of

  1. There Goes The Fear
  2. Black and White Town
  3. Snowden
  4. Here It Comes
  5. Words
  6. Kingdom Of Rust
  7. Sea Song
  8. Pounding
  9. 10:03
  10. Catch The Sun
  11. Jetstream
  12. The Man Who Told Everything (Summer Version)
  13. Andalucia
  14. Caught By The River
  15. The Cedar Room

DISC TWO – Rarities, B sides and alternate versions

  1. Blue Water
  2. Eleven Miles Out
  3. Rise
  4. Darker
  5. Push Me On
  6. Willow's Song (Bury Version)
  7. Valley
  8. Northenden
  9. M62 Song
  10. Drifter
  11. Friday's Dust (Capitol Tower Session)
  12. Almost Forgot Myself (Demo)
  13. Your Shadow Lay Across My Life
  14. The Last Son
  15. The Sulphur Man
  16. At The Tower (Instrumental Edit)
  17. Reprise
  18. Ambition
  19. Firesuite (Noise Version)

There's also a DVD that will pick up where "Where We're Calling From" left off.

Most people can compile the first disc themselves (minus the new single) but the second disc is a big incentive for purchasing this. Glad to see Blue Water finally getting a release, it's been kicking around on bootleg since Lost Souls ten years ago

Blue Water at last, hurrah! Always sounds like Here It Come's unruly elder brother to me - maybe thats why they never released it.

Yeah, same drum pattern as well I think.

no room for 'Spaceface' or 'Kingdom of rust' remixes?

But which is the better album? Lost Souls or Last Broadcast??? I change my mind on a weekly basis. Fell completely out of love with them after Kingdon of Rust which I thought was awful. Still, those first two are classics. And Some Cities has some great moments also.

Bit off topic but I found this on YouTube. Okay it is promotional stuff, but the background music is "Pounding"

Man I must be a dork when I get excited by bumper music.

Pounding was used on the end credits (with goal highlights) of the BBC coverage of the Boavista v Celtic UEFA Cup Semi-Final so for me it'll always be associated with Larsson scoring that goal to send us to the final with only 10 minutes left on the clock. Special memories.

I was speaking to a couple of Doves recently. I had absolutely no idea who they were until a couple of days later.

This is progress, I didn't know who I was the last time I spoke to them.

I dunno, i've kind of gone off Doves of late. Heard a short snippet of the new song Andalucia and it sounded really tired musically and lyrically. They need a new direction but i can't see where that's gonna come from.Their collaboration with that Bulgarian choir at the Roundhouse gig last October produced mixed results.

I did play There Goes The Fear probably more than any other song in the noughties. It really was fantastic when it first came out.

I'll be buying that!

Great band :)
