Fallen down a liftshaft.

Now that's a MAN'S way to hurt yourself.

Get well soon Stirling!

Not any old lift either, it's one in his house that was built specially for him by Williams Grand Prix Engineering.

He also has a bath that he can press a switch in his bedroom and it fills automatically to a pre-set temperature.

Tracy Island has nothing on Sir Stirlings gaff.

Name 3 ex Formula 1 drivers names after Scottish cities/towns? You've got one....

Fuck! Good call Old Blue but I meant to say 4. At which point you would've named those three, struggled on the fourth and I'd have shot back with the hysterical response

'Aye but you all forgot about Ayr Toon Centre...'

That joke maybe works better face to face..... After a few drinks...... In a Scottish accent......Get my coat shall I?

Chortle.

There HAS to be some mileage in someone called Moss falling over (in a 'rolling stone gathers no...') but I'm struggling at the moment.

All the old boys are at it, Ranulph Fiennes was in a car crash in stockport too, dozy old buggers!

Nice to see Sir Stirling is still basically Captain Scarlet.....any of us much younger blokes would most likely be dead.

Sadly I think this may put an end to his racing, bones don't heal so well at his age, and the sorts of things he races have pedals like brick walls :(

One of my favourite stories ever was about the cop who flagged down this Jaguar doing about Warp 3.8....."oo'dyoo fink you are then, stirlin moss?"...... And the reply came...."well, actually...." as he handed the license over :D

Anyway get well soon Sir Stirling, cos I'm thinkin of hitting the Goodwood revival this year, and it just wouldn't be the same.

My point was supposed to be that this is one in the eye for all them poofs who think that the way to injure yourself at home requires a complex arrangement of belts, oranges and bin bags. When a gentleman wants to knacker himself he chucks himself down a fucking liftshaft.

I doubt he's reading this, but if he is - I salute you for doing things the manly way.

I'd knight him again. Arise Sir Sir Stirling.
