I use MS Outlook 2007 for emails.
I've noticed that when I swap emails with someone who's using Hotmail, the message file size jumps up massively with each reply - right up to 1mb where it all seems to stop working.
What's that all about?

Ahhhhhh yes, combining all the reliability and stability of Outhouse, with all the security and flexibility of webmail.
Masochist.
EIDT; actual answer now.....
Only thing you can do is try to force it to use plain text mails. Or use a sensible mail client (no idea, sorry, I don't use email in windows, ever, fool's game etc etc etc....Eudora used to be OK, and there's always The Bat or Thunderbird.)
Jeff's right tho.....it's all a matter of evil.
PS....please tell me it's actual Outhouse and not Outhouse-excuse....outhouse at least works a little bit, slow and painful though it is....OE just speads viri and loses mail and shits itself repeatedly.

- Snotmail has, I believe, a 1mb limit on messages (used to be 1mb for message and attachment, but in this day and age they MUST have done away with that).
- Snotmail doesn't generate valid emails by default, but instead uses the WEB language html for formatting them (emails are NOT webpages and should never contain html....but if they didn't it'd be harder to spread viri, which would bugger up the MS/symantec/macafee/etc protection racket).
- Worse than that, it's MS generated HTML....so an email containing the text "hi cambo you boghopping son of a bomber" will be about 20-50k instead of about 40 bytes. It will be full of MS font tags and so on, sometimes only to say "don't use this font, or this one or this one or this one......". Word does the same...."hello world" should be, including filename and meta, less than 100bytes....see how bug word makes it if you get a chance. Also open an email in a text editor.....about 50 lines of header is normal, but then there SHOULD be a message......however, I promise if you do it with one made in outhouse and/or snotmail, you'll struggle to find the actual content.

Well, t'internet is probably the best medium to discuss problems stemming from use of t'internet. no?
PS: working any better for you Colin?
(Still can't imagine anything more painful than combining outhouse and snotmail.)
you are right of course, its just i dont understand any of it, so if i dont understand it i knock it.
