Sex Pistols' singer John Lydon has lead the tributes to former manager Malcolm McLaren, who died yesterday.
The mastermind behind the punk icons and pop culture svengali passed away in a Swiss hospital on Thursday.
He had been diagnosed with mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer, last October and was 64.
Speaking about McLaren, Lydon said: "For me Malc was always entertaining and I hope you remember that.
"Above all else he was an entertainer and I will miss him, and so should you," he explained, signing off the statement with his Pistols' name of Johnny Rotten.
Meanwhile, his former partner, Vivienne Westwood, said his death was "really something very sad.
"When we were young and I fell in love with Malcolm, I thought he was beautiful and I still do," she commented.
Creation Records founder Alan McGee was amongst the other music industry figures to mourn McLaren's passing, calling him a "visionary".
