Outcasts - pretty poor but just enough intrigue to keep me interested.

Big Fat Gypsy Weddings - though shouting at your own TV whilst watching it probably isn't healthy.

They've all got mahusive tits, haven't they?

Even their Scouse dress-maker, who isn't a gypsy at all, has got huge bazookas. I only realised that last night. I wonder if that's why they all chose her to make their dresses?

I'm strangely drawn to Embarrassing Bodies at the moment. I am the most squeamish man on the planet, however, so I feel physically ill just watching it. I was doing the ironing with it on the other week, and needed a sit down for a while cos I went very weak at the knees. That poor lad with the tumours on the back of his neck gave me nightmares after. Literally. I am such a wuss.

Episodes on BBC2 is well worth a watch at the moment, I'm even warming to Matt LeBlanc.

And Charlie Brooker's latest offering is a must-see, as usual.

The last few weeks have seen a softening of my normal zero-tv policy and I've seen some good stuff.

Coronation St is pretty good at the mo. For tragic storylines Coro can hold its own with anything on Eastenders with failing marriages, unwanted babies, jilted brides and the aftermath of the 1845 to Piccadilly smashing through the roof of a newsagent. But the humour and intelligent treatment makes it more bearable than its gloomy Southern cousin.

I saw a great documentary about the human heart a couple of nights ago. Like Jarvo, I'm terrible with anything that has poorly people or gore in it, but I did love this show and it's probably not a coincidence that I was at the gym for the first time in a couple of months yesterday.

I also caught a couple of episodes of that thing with le Blanc in it and thought it was very good; particularly the car crash and the jokes about Matt's penis.

Hope this helps.

Bet you loved the guy with the leg ulcer...

You have to wonder why some of those featured are supposedly too scared to go to the doctor but quite happy to display any number of scabby body parts to the viewing public.

Forgot to mention Human Planet and Madagascar - I've just changed from 21" CRT to 32" LCD, and both look spectacular on it.

I think that's just called common assault if you're not a diddicoy, Col.

Let's go for it.

Aye Charlie Brooker's TV Ruined Your Life series is good. Not getting on with the 10 O'Clock show he's in with Mitchell, Laverne and Jimmy Carr at the moment though. It's a bit shit.

The Promise on Channel 4 Sunday nights.Directed by same guy who did Britz a few years back. A good watch, that.

yup, anything which consists of Brooker constantly ranting is always great; bit part stuff is basically not enough of Brooker ranting.

Outcasts is a bit shite, but I'm still watching it, possibly cos there's f'all to watch.

The Promise is good stuff, but is a bit of a grind.. I'm kind of liking the brave Channel 4 anti-Israeli slant on it though. Just hope it's accurate, cos I'll start to believe it, as Mr Brooker would say.......

I watched the first half of the very first 10 O'Clock Show and thought it was just shit. They had a debate hosted by David Mitchell and it reminded me of something off one of them 'yoof' programmes in the 80's. Cringeworthy. Only good bits were pre-recorded, and not live.

There's some utter dross on telly at the moment, comedy wise. Coming of Age and Lunch Monkeys anyone... I mean, why? Just why?
