Got an old 80s Technics turntable.Effin great sound on it.Gave Ceremony 7' a couple of spins recent. Positively thumping out the speakers it was. Remarkable sound for a 7' inch on an old turntable

I can see a rather fat mouse lurking just beside that record turntable of yours...... can you see it? IN the second picture - just to the right hand side..... It's very eerie....

Yeah Johnny - there - look! .... can't you see it? It's just adjacent to the pick up arm.... it looks positively bloated....almost ectoplasmic too. My god, you've got a turntable that could be haunted by the restless spirit of a greedy Mus musculus!!

 :eek3: :eek3:

I've done a screen grab of the pic that you uploaded and I've heightened the contrast through image preview, then also cut a close up enlargement of the pic....and you can quite clearly see the head of a fat white and grey mouse squatting underneath the pick up arm....!!

Here:

Do you - or did you once - have a mouse as a pet Johnny?

I still buy some new 12" vinyl singles online. The last two being Pendulum's Watercolour and The Island. Would love to see a vinyl comeback, but I guess that most of the producers/remixers out there today don't have too much imagination... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :blackeye:

Think i'm with yer now on the Mouse thing, By Eck.

Scary indeed Mr Johnny.

You need to get that turntable exorcised otherwise every single record you will play will have helium-squeaky vocals that sound like something from a kiddies TV show......

Recently got PC&L on vinyl off of mate in work, thing is,its labelled wrong on the record(the round bit at middle) side A is on side B and vice versa, question is...

...how much is it worth!!

Seriously,is this a 'rarity' as such or were all Fact75 vinyls done like this?

Answers:

  1. About 3p more.

  2. Yes, Factory do this all the time. They even mispress their cassettes to play at the wrong speed too. My version of PC&L (Tape) sounds like it's revolving at 35rpm. And my version of From The Hip by Section 25 sounds like it's at 32rpm.

I bought a Steepletone CD/USB/Vinyl system a couple of years ago, it even has an SD-card slot in it for fook sake! I thought great bit of kit that, when I started using it I realised its awful.

Poorly built, every 7" skips towards the end, the arm doesn't lift itself off the run-out groove and the sound quality is crap. And it fries USB sticks like chips.

Avoid Steepletone!!

Looking for a good system now! Then I will start playing vinyl more!

Did it also have a small ectoplasmic mouse lurking underneath the pick up arm as Johnny's did??
