(Shut your eyes though and he could almost be Ricky Gervais - that whole sketch this week about Russell Howard making the wells run dry in Africa was pure Gervais)

Good to see the Apprentice back as well. Unmissable, if only because it's the most talked about thing at work the next day so if you don't see it, you're gonna know who gets chucked out anyway.

Psychoville on BBC2. Never took to the League of Gentlemen but this is brilliant.

Is anyone watching Game of Thrones? Not a big fan of Fantasy stuff myself, but I've heard decent things about this. Probably one of those HBO things I'll finally download once it's finished then watch over the course of week.

I see Treme is back in the US. One thing I really wanted to like, but sadly got bored with.

Liking Pyschoville, but equally never cared overly for LOG... Biggest disappointment recently has been Campus... Really struggled to like this, which is a shame as I loved Green Wing... You're right about the Apprentice, Al... Never actively set out to watch it, but can never quite drag myself away when the missus has it on and being the only male working in a department of women, I have to have something I can talk to them about...

Have managed to catch Pyschoville though- it's good

Have seen bits of The Shadow Line but ain't got a clue what it's all about

I've watched The Shadow Line from the start, and it's fantastic, cliff hanger at the end of each episode, and very mysterious, even if you've watched them all it's confusing, but in a good way.

not watching much else though.

It's really really good, with a fantastic cast. Building up to be a classic.

And this series of Stewart Lee isn't yet as good as the last, but the guy is head and shoulders above other stand-ups.

Finally caught the first episode of the Shadow Line.

Are all the actors in it trying to out-mental each other?

Rafe Spall seemed particularly unhinged for someone who isn't particularly menacing.

Fradders, good call on Breaking Bad. Nothing exciting seems to happen for a couple of episodes then they always throw in a WHOAH FCUK ME! moment just to keep you engrossed. They're clever sods like that.

The Walking Dead - I can't be the only person to find it a bit weird having, basically, just two English actors in one entire episode talking in American accents to one another? I say 'American accents' but fcuknows what Andrew Lincoln thinks his accent is?

Best thing on TV for me at the moment :nod: you're in for a proper treat with all 3 seasons in front of you. Season 4 starts up in July and it's the first show in a while I've wanted them to hurry up and air.

As for others, I'm catching up with all 5 seasons of Dexter (passed me by until now), Entourage season 1 and both seasons of Bored To Death which is another HBO effort. I've also got HBO's In Treatment with Gabriel Byrne but I'm saving that once I've cleared some of my "TV show backlog" (ain't life tough!).

The big flop of the year for me was Boardwalk Empire. For some reason I got bored after the first episode and didn't bother continuing (yet). Fan of the concept, fan of Steve Buscemi but it seemed to be a grandiose production that crawled along at a bit of a snail's-pace. Hesitate to say it but a little... dull? It was hyped beyond belief as well with its Scorsese and Sopranos links.

It actually picks up after that. Episodes 2 & 3 feature a menacing Stephen Rea, who has been a bit underrated in the past.

Still stand by this, in that it could be the best thing BBC has produced for years.

On the plus side Stewart Lee made me cackle a lot more t'other day.

The Walking Dead was pretty good. Considering it was a TV show it didnt shy away from blood and guts. Perhaps not scare-you-shitless but well made.

Was it a bad first episode? Confess, I can't really remember.

I think it delivered, but my only gripe was that perhaps Buscemi wasn't necessarily the right man to lead it. He's not an obvious hardman, and didn't even have the slightest of edges which would've at least given him more character.

I liked his shoes though. :nod:

I agree absolutely about the redheads, but ever since it's revamp 'Dr Who' has left me completely cold. It's painfully smug and nowhere near as smart as it thinks it is.

Perhaps that's just me?
