Well mine's struggled a wee bit.........to hit 10 goals :lol:

Celtic won 8-1, maybe this'll shut the Scottish Press up fer a wee bit :skeptic:

We get knocked out of Europe on away goals to a decent team ( I think they beat Sparta Prague 2-0 in their Champions League game )

Then we lose our first SPL game fer 10 months, and it's the end of the world, then today we had everyone's favourite Scottish bampot Stuart Cosgrove telling MON to drop Larsson.....shove that up yer arse ya gormless twat:D

(Henrik scored a hat-trick)

Good to see we've put the last couple of games behind us, and the best European performance since beating Juventus at Pakhead, still a shame we're not in the Champions League, let's hope we can do ourselves justice in the UEFA!

Erm, not so well as I'm sure you're aware. A piss poor first half performance exposed our new boys as lacking cohesion and familiarity with the rest of the team. This season's so far exemplary performances of Hamann Gerard and Murphy were in stark contrast to what happened against a very good Valencia side(Champions league finalists in 2 of the last 3 years). Despite such codswallop as The Mails slant "It was not so much a defeat but a demolition, not so much a humbling experience as a humiliation" We only lost 2-0 not the 5,6,7,8 - 0 you'd think they were discussing. This away to the champions of probably the best league in Europe.

Despite rallying in the second half, hitting a post in the 1st and IMO deserving a late penalty it was a fair result. That said the referee was a joke. Never gave us a carrot and sent Hamann off for a nudge on someone who I'm sure could be held up on a charge of indecency. Valencia did give us a lesson in how to hold a two goal lead. Random delaying tactics used to prevent any build up of momentum such as substitutions and feigning injuries were executed to perfection. As were cynical fouls well away from any danger areas.

To put it into perspective a bit. They (The Spanish)aren't doing too badly accross the board, having provided 7 of the last 12 Champions league semi-finalists. This week Real Madrid came away from Rome with a 3-0 win. Deportivo became the first team to win a European game in Munich's Olympic stadium for 5 years. With Barca also chalking up a win, all four Spanish teams got off to a winning start in the champions league and look ominously placed to repeat their recent dominance.

Still there's plenty of time to regroup and hopefully exact some revenge in the home fixture. Two home ties against Basle and Spartak Moscow should hopefully see us regain the form that took us to the within a few minutes of the semi-finals last year.

shame were playing so shite in the league at the moment, players like Forlan and Veron have be spectaculary disappointing... So he scored a penalty in the last minute, AND... he still couldnt score from open play for like the last 15 hours! people will be gettin him confused with Owen soon ;)

Celtic's home European record over the last two seasons has been very impressive. If you ignore the 1-0 defeat by Ajax (irrelevant as we'd already pumped them 3-1 in Amsterdam) then they go, from most recent, as follows

FK Suduva 8-1 Basle 3-1 Valencia 1-0 Juventus 4-3 Rosenberg 1-0 (i think?) Porto 1-0

Any English teams with 6 home wins on the trot?

I passed up the chance for a free ticket to Arse-Dortmund, which is only 20mins walk from my gaff too, to go to Sunny Luton to witness THE most inept performance in living memory against a team with a -18 goal difference going into said game. And us to come out on the wrong side of 3-2 with me having put 100 notes on us at 6/4 to win by two or more goals. To cap matters our 2 goals came in the last 10mins just to keep us hanging on and dragging out the torture even longer. Though, to be honest, I should've walked long before then.

Who would be a footie fan?

I purposely didn't buy tickets well in advance of Notts C or Manfield cos I knew I wouldn't be able to stomach seeing 'em if they had gone down at Tw*tford. Seems the high was just a blip though.

Mind, if we can do your nearest & dearest 3-0 in the cup that'd be a result! Please, please, let Enckelman play again. :D

I can empathise with the nearest and dearest totally. We finally get to play Palace next month after a decade of name-calling from a distance. I only hope BZ and our preferred keeper are back from injury....

I see that the Spurs play United tomorrow then, Shug. Hoping that Mr. Keller can keep up his very good play in the net; so far Spurs have won most of the games that they should have so far, and now the tests start.

Aye, he's done very well, and as you know, Sullivan's gonna be out fer a while yet, which will give Keller the chance to make the jersey his own. Don't hold out much hope fer him today though, I think Man U will win by a couple of goals :nod:

Bloody hell, I've been in the sun all day, I'm dead tired, and I see that result when I check in on ESPN just a moment ago. Seems to be the best effort in Old Trafford in a few years, but there's no point awarded in that. Sounds like KK made some great saves, as well as it being a contentious match; it's just too bad that the local Fox affiliate has done away with EPL scores and highlights.

KK was superb but thankfully VAN THE MAN came up trumps again!:D

A good three points and great finishing by VAN THE MAN.Now HAC what was going on at 'POOL.Not a great result although they should have got at least FOUR.Still a good chance of qualifying though.Cos you know it ain't over till the very FINAL whistle or i could lend you my FERGIE watch!:D
