So another year another undoubtedly disappointing Brit Awards, does anyone really care, I don't know

New Order for outstanding contribution!! Shame it will probably never happen for as long as Hooky isn't in the band anymore. They deserve it much more than most of the acts who have had it over the years..

I'm skipping the glossy chart shite and waiting for Blur to close it, that's the only part worth watching this year for me.

Stone Roses for Best newcomer next year? It's been that fooking long since they were a band!

This year's awards will be worth watching IF Example wipes the floor.

Changed The Way You Kissed Me was the one great song of 2011. :deal:

That Chase & Status choon was pretty good as well I thought.

"Blind Faith". Reminiscent of early 90s rave.

Really? I bought an early single of his called You Can't Rap cos i thought it was a laugh, and I liked the sleeve on the 7". But I was quite surprised when he started having hits a couple of years later; I can't take his music seriously.

May I suggest some of these as candidates for notable tunes of 2011

She meant to cover the New Order tune as well!

WELL I NEVER!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

So once again, can somebody tell me, what the fricking hell is so great about frigging Adull??? Have I missed out on summat here? Why in heaven's name is she the biggest female singer in the entire universe right now??? WHY??? HOW????

She has a voice like fingernails down the blackboard......

She's like the female equivalent of Michael Bolton for fuck's sakes!!!

New Order are not the only ones; just think:

Depeche Mode Simple Minds The Smiths - did they ever get noted? Money will eventually force them to reform. (I can't see Mo stacking shelves at my supermarket!) :hat:

You do raise a good point here: should there be a Best Comeback Award? Maybe not - Modern Romance, Classicx Nouveaux... :spit:

Personally, I LOVE Adele. She has a fantastic voice and "Rolling in the Deep" is a modern classic. As for "Someone Like You," it reminds me of a past relationship almost word for word. Brings me to tears.

So there. :p

I always think "Rolling in the shit" when she sings it.

I don't know why.

Anyway.. that ERRORS album is amazing.

By 'Eck! My Neck! wrote: Adele!!!! Adull, more like. What's the appeal? Can someone tell me??

I think it comes down to a couple or three things. She sings lyrics which girls can cry along to while downing Blossom Hill. Also, as she's a chunky engine girls dont feel threatened by her. Finally, considering the above most blokes know its a safe purchase to make for birthdays, anniversaries etc.

Spot on kidda.

Now can we go back on topic please, I believe we were discussing the similarities between Wotsits and Chris Evans.

i don't know if this has been done collectively. but i wonder if new order will get together and write a book about their time in the past. not some half assed attempt buy just one person.

Do you honestly think if it was possible to get them all together that they would ever agree on a single thing.

And what does it have to do with the brit awards?

It has something vaguely to do with music, which is is a bit of result link-wise for 'Tuxy'...
