Hey all. Anyone come here anymore? I haven't visited this site in months!

Anyway, I'm getting a 160 GB iPod next week and I want some recommendations for new (or old) music that I should check out. And yes, I already have "Baby" by Justin Bieber.

Have you looked at my suggestions on the Brit Awards thread just below this one in BCD?

If you haven't listened to the 2011 Example album Playing In The Shadows, please may I recommend it - even just for the first single Changed The Way You Kissed Me.

Example - Try This (website)

I also have some new tunes, none which are for sale, but you can listen to them for free here at your leisure:

Empress Touch on SoundCloud.com

There's even a little New Order nestling at the bottom of the webpage!

If all else fails, you could always invest in the entire Echo and The Bunnymen catalogue, au naturellement.....

the Editors - Bloc Party - Biffy Clyro - Feeder - White Lies

Swans, by Camera Obscura

Sometimes I find new songs by hearing them in shops. I have to try to memorise a line or two from the lyrics then google it when I get home. Just got Shazam but I haven't got round to using it yet.

Thanks everyone! I'll give these a try.

However, I am NOT going to waste gig space on Miley Virus. :p

I saw Grouplove three times last week, pretty fantastic.

Lights is very good.

Really enjoy Foster the People.

Whilst not exactly 'new' the Hurts album is fantastic. Ditto Metronomy.

And from the older file, New Parade by Sheila Divine has been on near constant play recently.
