24 hour party people: the book

Has anyone read the 24 hour party people book that Tony Wilson did? How was it? What's in it?

It's quite pretentious in places, but then again that is par for the course. Doesn't have all that much to do with New Order, concentrates more on his dangerous adoration of Shaun Ryder, the man who ruined his business. Some funny anecdotes though.

i enjoyed the way it straddled the line between being a print version of the film and an autobiography. there isn't really anything new to be learned for the book, but it is nice to have a first hand account of things from a pretty funny guy. very tongue in cheek.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It inspired me to get the soundtrack to 24HRPP, which started off my JD/NO fixation.

didn't we actually discuss this not that long ago on the other side. it is not that great.
