Robert "Throb" Young of Primal Scream. In terms of 'celeb' or musician deaths, this one has made a real impact on me. Seen this band live more than any other band. Always hoped that one day he might rejoin. Mani (not currently in the band) occasionally posts as "Mr Gary" on the Primals forum, and logged in to break the news yesterday.

I never really liked What Becomes of the Brokenhearted until I heard Joan Osbourne's version of the song in the docu film, Standing In The Shadows Of Motown. The second half of this sends tingles down my spine.
