Anyone come up with any plans fer where we're gonna meet up fer a swally?

Myself and Brasco are gonna be at Baldy's early Friday afternoon, is anyone goin oot on the Friday night, or are we waiting fer an all day / all nighter bevvy on the Saturday? Hooky's Wallet will be joining us on the Saturday, so suggestions welcome fer meeting up venue's.

Anyone heard from Muffster, Grahame F, Johan, Liv or Kezbah? And is anyone else coming along fer the craic?

Spoke to (well texted anyway) Liv on Saturday, she may be away, doesn't know yet. East/West Records will be in attendance.

:hi: I have a question! Is this play thingie sold out? What performance is everyone mainly going to? (Sorry, that's two questions). Am now thinking of attending, and housemate Linz (who some of you may have met at Old Trafford) has expressed an interest. We're a bit concerned about reports that UB40 have some involvement though....

Anyway, any of the kids who are in Mancland next weekend, mail me on the address on my profile to let me know plans.

Cheers lads!

Tickets are still available from wayahead.com - UB40 are 'allegedly' appearing at the Brum dates, not the Manc ones. There's still no official word on any New Order appearance though wayahead are still claiming that they're on as far as they're concerned. Which is b*ll*cks. I'm hoping they'll reissue monies if the Order aren't on cos that's how they basically advertised the play.

I may still be in the vicinity however, as Luton are away at Oldham.

Well, there was a little article in the Manchester Evening News about it this week, and they seemed to take it as given that New Order were playing, although they've not been the most reliable source in the past...

Still, should be a bit of a weekend jolly I suppose....

They probably got their info from the promoter, SJM, who seem to be using the NewOrder name to flog tix. I'd guess that this is why WayAhead are convinced NO are gonna appear aswell.

Official word from the bands management is that they are going to play ONE show at the weekend but they haven't decided which one yet. If I'm being cynical, this could be to do Keef Allen a favour, as some fans might then buy tix for all 3 of the weekend shows to guarantee a seat at the right one. So I'm sure it's not that ;).

Praps Barney is trying to see for which night he can get a baby sitter.

And which cover version are they playing? I'm sure you're winding me up. . . ;)

Are they only gonna do this one song? Anyone have any ideas when which gig will actually be confirmed?

but you didnt see them the week before, a man down in the 3rd minute at home to the european champions for the last 2 years & the english champs for the last 4 we never fell behind & won a famous victory. superb. then we forgot how to score tries at leeds (twice over the line without grounding the ball?)

I won't be in attendance at this little shindig i'm afraid. As soon as the LEA see fit to actually send me my loan cheque i'll be back on the drinking technique tour with you all...

I'll phone Livster soon, we may need a place to stay Saturday......apparently it'll cost us 60 quid to get from Manchester to Chorley after partying.

Howdy doodle do Angel. :hi:

I hear my Angels will be one down next weekend, no Trumpette. :( I'm bringing my best girl anyway so all is not lost. How 'bout an alternative then, Dry's a shithouse anyway, I think we all agree on that!

Dukes 92?

That place was alright, quite liked the art decor:lol:

And according to the NME a couple of weeks ago, there's a good chance of bumping into Shaun Ryder down there:lol:

Muffster, we're gonna stay at Mick's on the Friday I think, but hopefully Liv'll sort us oot fer the Saturday, otherwise we're all back at yours;)

Where's Mad Annie gonna be?

Mad Annie's flogging phones to the poor unsuspecting folk of Derby ain't she?! Pity she can't make it...not seen her in while.

Shug - I think Dukes 92 is a good choice. Nice and spacious, with some canny pubs nearby. :)

A bit of a stomp from where you're staying - kind of down past Hacienda, around Castlefield way. If it's nice weather you can sit by the smelly canal :D

Cannae remember who recommended it for the Move festival meet up.....think it may have been Jarvo, cos he was meeting other pals there.

It's a nice wee place, quite big, and has an upstairs where there are lovely leather couches, with nice wooden flooring, tasteful art decor and Mozart's 5th streaming through the area.....kinda posh looking. Outside there's a massive square with several chairs and tables and a view of the canal and new buildings:nod: Downstairs is fer the common people, wide open space and far too much noise.

I should be an estate agent:evil4:
