Oh was it good ? Did see it is on iplayer, may try and catch it while it's still available then. Watched that Restless two parter thing about the spy in world war 2 . I don't know , it was alright but just didn't fully hit the mark for me somehow . Watched that film Moon, last night - that was pretty good .

oh i LOVED moon! i like how the robot subverts sci-fi tradition by being a goodie. and i like his faces. he single-handedly changed my attitude towards emoticons. didn't like the end though, felt it was a little too neat. agree with you about restless. the first episode seemed v slow, especially. (my mate tom played angus, the scottish fellow with the sticks!)

there are a few good films still on iplayer, i think. i'm going to re-watch blade runner. also looking forward to catching up with the sound of music 'behind the scenes' thing, and the tove jansson doc.

That Moon film I did see a while back and yeah it was a pretty good performance by Sam Rockwell, good that David Bowie's son turns out to be talented in his own right.. That Johnny Cash biopic is on later tonight but I doubt that I will get to see it..

Watched The Girl.Yeah i enjoyed that, really good. Hitchcock was portrayed as a right monster wsn't he, blimey.

Yeah Moon's ending was all exremely neat wasn't it. What a bugger it'd be finding out you're a clone with implanted memories though.

i think hitchcock really was a bit of a rotten bastard. i find it fascinating that despite his obvious insight into sexual desire and dysfunction, he was so guilty of it himself. the plot of vertigo is very reminiscent of his relationship with tippi hedren. there are a couple of good books on this i want to read now. and it will be interesting to see the anthony hopkins/helen mirren/scarlett johansson take on this theme when that film comes out. (btw, speaking of SJ, if i was unimpressed with her before, that LUDICROUS perfume ad has really tipped her over into major irritant.)
