Psychos at work

All this talk of the "DC sniper" has lead to some interesting discussions at my workplace. We have a guy who works the stock crew at night, and no one's quite sure what to make of him:

  1. He's a 32 yr.-old virgin who still lives with his parents (I'm a 23 year old virgin living with my grands, but that's not the point)

  2. He's obsessed with Star Wars (meaning: he actually reads the novelizations of each film and probably has a huge collection of action figures still in their original packaging.

  3. He often says things about fantasies of holding pregnant ladies by their ankles off hotel balconey landings.

  4. One time, I was walking to the back door to deposit some trash, and he was talking to a fellow co-worker about something. When I came back through to return up front, he was holding a pick-ax (which is used to clear out the ice that builds up at the freezer doors) and laughing....FOR NO APPARENT REASON!!!!!!(I asked the guy he was talking to what he was on about, and he said he had no clue)

  5. Did I mention he's a 32 year-old virgin who still lives with his parents? That's one of the things police look for when they're on the trail of serial killers.

Anyways, the fact that this guy at work was NOT the sniper gives us all a sigh of relief, but we still watch our backs. This got me wondering: Are there any odd fucks at your workplace? Somehow I know you do, so here's a thread to discuss them....enjoy!

PS If you ARE the odd duck of your workplace, feel free to add your comments as well.

Out of ORDER...i met up with you lot just to show you that in REAL life i am sensible and ordinary. So no snide comments.I was the most sensible person in the WORLDS END pub.More like END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT.:D That is apart from AL JARVIS who is VERY sensible and far too BIG for me to say anything untoward.

when i was at st. andrews, we had this guy in our dorm (now, keep in mind that we were all POSTGRADS, being in our mid-20s-30s) a few years back who:

a) had a, erm, slight hygiene problem. he would show up in the dining room with large stalagtites of green snot hanging from his nose, that would sway to and fro when he moved his head. someone would have to tell him to go wash his face before eating. he also had a problem keeping his mouth closed while eating, which made meals a bit like musical chairs as people tried desperately not to get stuck with the seat directly across from him. as for his hair, sometimes it looked as though he used shortening, or perhaps butter, to wash it instead of shampoo.

b) sometimes he would attempt to enter a room, failing to realize that there was, in fact, something called a 'door' separating that room from the one he was currently in.

c) while sitting in the television room, he would splay his papers around him in a radius of several feet, utilizing several chairs in the process. sometimes, people would look beneath them to find him lying underneath their chair, his head poking out from between their legs.

d) when he first met people, he would tell them that he was from san francisco, but 'not the gay part.'

e) the crowning glory: once he sneezed directly in my face. it was a sideways hit, but some went into the corner of my mouth and some into the corner of my eye. while i handled it very well and excused myself to go and wash my face, my friend james had to leave the room to dry heave.

while he is not the sniper, i'm sure that sometime in the next few years i will read that he has opened fire in a mc donald's somewhere in the midwest...or that authorities have found two dozen bodies buried under the floorboards of his house.
