Would love to, but I've been persuaded to blow three weeks hols straight off in Feb to go to Barbados.

Seattle is BEAUTIFUL in July. You guys must come. The new Seahawk Stadium is quite nice...plus the 81-82ep (vinyl) is sitting in a shop just around the corner. I will definitely be going to this match.

I've just been on the phone to him, he told me what you put, and said something like..."What's that bigg eedgit on about Shug? he supports Luton!" :evil4: Only kidding;) Yeah, we're making arrangements as soon as I have the details of the rest of the Celtic games, we have both agreed that we'll definitely be visitng the Big Apple at some stage in the proceedings, I just hope the games take place on the same nights and same venues, it would make life that much more easier fer a lazy bastard like moi:D

Looks like were gonna be landing in Seattle and then flying to New York, all i know there like loadsa miles apart. Is this an impossible mission?

Anyone round the NewYork area wanna meet up if we make it their?

Oh and Shug says we gotta fit Canada in somehow as well to visit Nicos and Seb :D

It's not impossible - it's on the way back to Blighty! Internal flights in the US are reasonably cheap. Johnny G stopped off in Noo Yoik on his way back from the Area:One gigs in 2001.

At least the ManYoo-Celtic love-in will actually be IN Seattle. We arrived in Seattle wondering where the Gorge Ampitheatre was, only to be told it was 150 miles(!!) outta town. Should've looked up a map before we went, I guess?! :eek3:

Cheers fer that Al, but the cheapest way for us is gonna have to be a return flight from Seattle, my plan is as follows, fly out to Seattle on the 20th, a few days there, watch the game, I know that Brian Geoghagan, Green and Jeff The Chef are definitely gonna be meeting up fer a few lagers, then hopefully over to Canada to see our webmasters and whoever else can make it, then onto New York to meet a few onliners there, I have been in touch with Jim Giliberto, and does Tabsy not spring from that neck of the woods? May well have to get masel an American Express card, cos I've got a feeling £300 isnae gonna go far :lol:

Basically, we need to know distances / prices / flying time / do they serve free beer on the planes?

Seattle to Quebec / Seattle to New York Quebec to New York New York to Seattle.

Oh, nearly forgot......who's house are we staying at? :beer:

As I'd mentioned before, it looks like the ManU/Celtic match'll start at 8 in the evening, for those who are travelling to Seattle, at least according to one of the local rags. Tickets for the event aren't scheduled to go on sale until March 15. As for now, my plan is to drive up sometime on Monday the 21st, the day before the game, and have a hotel room for a couple of days, but that's all depending on whether or not on who I drag from work to enjoy the game.

Flights were checked out today, and they're not quite as fucking cheap as I thought! Looks like it'll be a minimum of £400 - £500 :nonono: Anyone wants to send any money to a poor Scottish Orphan.....send yer money to ShugZV.... :evil4:

Green Guy, I was speaking to Donovan today, and we think it'd be easier if you got the tickets for the game for us, Donovan will sort the money out via credit card.....we want tickets for the Celtic part of the ground:D If he says otherwise, just ignore him :nod: You'll have to let us know about the hotel as well, we haven't got anything sorted yet either, unless it's all back to Brian G's :lol:

Things are looking up!

Discoved that a slight reshuffle of our trip could seriously bring the price tumbling down!

Basically seeing the game towards the end of the trip and doing NewYork first looks the way forward!!

Cheapest return flight found from NY to Seattle so far is 143gbp (usair) can this be beaten...?

But flights to NY are waaaaaaay cheaper from the UK than flights to Seattle :D

Haven't heard anything from Brian fer a while, but I'll sleep anywhere matey :lol: The tentative dates we have at the moment is flying out to New York on the 10th of July, probably arrive in Seattle on the 18th or 19th, flight back to NY on the 23rd, going home on the 24th. Any New Yorkers oot there, what's the prices fer a week in a half decent hotel? or alternatively....if someone wants to put us up :nod:

Nice one Green guy, as far as I know, the tickets go on sale here on the 15th as well......e-mailed the Parkhead ticket office a week or two back, but they are fuckin useless, Donnie's been in touch with the Manc ticket office and they're definitely going on sale on the 15th. It might be a better idea if we all get the tickets together (yourself, me, donnie and jeff, I'm not sure if Brian is definitely going) Had an e-mail from Brian Go last week, he's trying to sort out a Manchester Music night in a club in Seattle.....how fuckin great will that be! We're also going to the Celtic training session the day before, they done this the last time in America and drew a crowd of 10,000 just to watch them train.......can't say that about the Mancy lads can ye;)

Well, the tickets went VERY fast, at least the ones that were available to the public, so they were gone by the time I got home on Saturday night :mad:

All is not lost, though, I talked to the Ticketmaster rep, who said that there were a lot of unsold tickets, but that they were in group packages and such, so keep an eye out for those, and I'm gonna keep both eyes peeled out for the classified ads and ticket agencies here in the Northwest, and trying to contact a person or two.

Stay tuned for further details as they come in.........

Got it Don, things aren't that bleak on the ticket front actually,; they can be had of course, and by god they will be had :)

Still haven't heard officially what section ManU'll be in, but it'll more than likely be the Northwest section, so I'll look for something for ya in there.

Brian G. is interestested in joining us, but I haven't heard from Jeff/Grigori yet again recently.

Bottom line: I feel a lot better about it today than this time yesterday!
