Flights were checked out today, and they're not quite as fucking cheap as I thought! Looks like it'll be a minimum of £400 - £500 :nonono: Anyone wants to send any money to a poor Scottish Orphan.....send yer money to ShugZV....:evil4:

Aye Jim, I did mention Boston:nod: There are loadsa places of interest I want to go, as I've said, it'll depend on money and time. But I'd love to meet up with all the Irish in Boston, I know for definite there are quite a few Celtic Supporters Club there, as well as New York! Green Guy, I was speaking to Donovan today, and we think it'd be easier if you got the tickets for the game for us, Donovan will sort the money out via credit card.....we want tickets for the Celtic part of the ground:D If he says otherwise, just ignore him:nod: You'll have to let us know about the hotel as well, we haven't got anything sorted yet either, unless it's all back to Brian G's:lol:

Dunno how much the place holds, but Celtic had a good few thousand at a friendly last January in New York, there'll be thousands more Celts than Mancs over there:nod: Neutrals will easily lean towards the Celts:D So we're as well sitting in the Celtic end:thumb:

Have a look at travel4less.co.uk some of the flights are really cheap, but nothing much on offer for Seattle yet im afraid :(

Since tix haven't gone on sale yet, I've yet to figure out where the fans of each side'll be. I gotta say though Don that I have much more green in my wardrobe than I do red ;)

Seriously, I'll let you know what's up as it happens; the telephone number in the adverts just brings up a message announcing the match.

Cheers fer that Al, but the cheapest way for us is gonna have to be a return flight from Seattle, my plan is as follows, fly out to Seattle on the 20th, a few days there, watch the game, I know that Brian Geoghagan, Green and Jeff The Chef are definitely gonna be meeting up fer a few lagers, then hopefully over to Canada to see our webmasters and whoever else can make it, then onto New York to meet a few onliners there, I have been in touch with Jim Giliberto, and does Tabsy not spring from that neck of the woods?May well have to get masel an American Express card, cos I've got a feeling £300 isnae gonna go far:lol:Basically, we need to know distances / prices / flying time / do they serve free beer on the planes?Seattle to Quebec / Seattle to New YorkQuebec to New YorkNew York to Seattle.Oh, nearly forgot......who's house are we staying at?

free beer on domestic flights?? might as well ask if you can light up a fag...

unless you are flying first class...those fuggers get free everything...and a real meal in most cases...

Orbitz wouldnt let me fly from the UK! seemed only to accept US departures

Expedia was 588pounds which is too dear

travelocity was 1047dollars which is also too dear.

Got a few numbers to call up now, but its not looking too promising so far....

Even I have just started putting a few quid on the lottery again! Brasco has a couple of contacts to chase up over the weekend, we're hoping to get a return flight for somewhere in the region of £400 if possible. As soon as Manchester is out the way, I'll be saving like a mad eedgit, I fucking hate the thought of having to work overtime, but it's a price I'm willing to pay. I have a feeling me and America are gonna get on just fine:D

Things are looking up!

Discoved that a slight reshuffle of our trip could seriously bring the price tumbling down!

Basically seeing the game towards the end of the trip and doing NewYork first looks the way forward!!

Cheapest return flight found from NY to Seattle so far is 143gbp (usair) can this be beaten...?

But flights to NY are waaaaaaay cheaper from the UK than flights to Seattle :D

Its slowly but surely coming together!! all you NewYorkers Seattle'rs GET READY!!!!!!!!

Haven't heard anything from Brian fer a while, but I'll sleep anywhere matey:lol: The tentative dates we have at the moment is flying out to New York on the 10th of July, probably arrive in Seattle on the 18th or 19th, flight back to NY on the 23rd, going home on the 24th. Any New Yorkers oot there, what's the prices fer a week in a half decent hotel? or alternatively....if someone wants to put us up:nod:

How many people are planning on being in Seattle for this match? I can put up two people...one on a futon and one on the floor. I wish i had a couch with a pull out sleeper but i don't. Those things are heavy.

I am looking forward to seeing you guys up here so send me an email and we'll discuss the plan.

My arrangements are still the same as last week, driving up on Monday the 21st to a hotel, and leave on the morning of Wednesday the 23rd. What I'm gonna need to know is how many tickets to buy; at this point, I'm assuming myself, Shug, Don, Jeff, and Brian, plus a buddy from work, which makes 6. Remember tix go on sale on March 15th, so there's still a bit of time.

BTW Shug, got the package today. Damn bloody nice! :thumb: Listening to the Warsaw tape right now, it's been pouring rain all day, this was a great ray o'sunshine. Cheers mate. :)

okay...so how many people will be wearing Celtic jerseys???

Figured that your clubs would obviously have some tix to offer their supporters, so I'll just wait to see how that plays out over the next couple of months.

As for moi, I'll certainly be wearing green (well, I do have a name to uphold, at least) :D

I seem to remember there was a sea of GREEN when we beat Utd 4-3 at Old Trafford the last time we played. RED faces all around for Utd's players and fans. Beautiful game indeed. :)

excitement is definitely on the rise...it was sunny and beautiful here today, just like it will be in July...anyway, here's a message from SHUGLETTE! this is a cut n paste job from his most recent email:

"I'm there as much as I ever was, but for some reason the bastard place won't let me log in!!!! If you get on there tonight, please add to the thread that Jeff is my hero for getting the Celtic jersey, tell Green Guy he's to do the same....just to piss Donovan off. Speak to you soon compadre....all the best, Shug"

Oh dear oh dear.... stop dredging up the bloody history books!! you sound like a fuckin liverpool supporter

If we played in the diadora leage, or leyland daf's reserves league or whatever it is called up there then we'd no doubt be harping on about winning a game conceded by United in good sportsmanship, im sure a worthy charity benefited from us letting you win that one...

As it is we'll carry on with the serious business of playing professional football (all your players are part time plumbers or electricians arent they!?) you can play sunday league kickabouts with the half a dozen teams or so teams in your league and the struggle in the uefa cup with other losers like liverpool!!!! ;)
