(though I appear to own two of them - how did that happen?).

How come Mogwai seem to get critical respect when they just seem to be a shoegazing band 10 years after the whole 'movement' got slagged into oblivion by the music press? Is it cos they is Scottish?

i've only heard souvlaki, and it has some really good songs. some velvet morning and alison are great songs. but there's lots of filler, especially the last few songs.

the last few are actually bonus tracks, not part of the actual album.

Just for a day is the only one ive heard. Bloody brilliant.
