I'm 51 and have a big-time receding hairline. I've never been very vain about losing my hair and for the last year I've been having fun letting it grow and wearing it in a ponytail, sort of like a badly-balding Steven Segal, but it's becoming a pain in the ass. I've often thought about just shaving my head completely. Are there any bald NO fans out there who can infuse a bit of wisdom about this subject? Or any females who could give me some insight on whether a completely bald dome is preferrable to a balding one or not? Should I add facial hair or a Harley-Davidson tatoo on my noggin for accent? Your views would be appreciated by an older and very indecisive NO fan!

WAYNE I am the infamous ROCKET MICK.Some of the NOOL's who have met me call me BALDY!:DAlmost completely bald myself and i HAD a brilliant time after my last divorce with the women. My EX who is still a dear friend is VERY BEAUTIFUL and the point i am making is that being BALD did not GET IN THE WAY of meeting women. If you are CONFIDENT with yourself DO IT.
Cheers Rocket Mick
Good grief Wayne, You're gonna get me fired! I was laughing out loud and people around me were looking at me with disapproving glances. After all I'm supposed to be working here, not having fun.
This must be the funniest thread I have read in ages and that is saying quite something.

Trust me, you're better off with a shaven head! As for the women you can always go for the scientific explanation that baldness is caused primarily by excess testosterona hence bald people are "manlier" if you get my drift than hairy ones.
Now I should mention that I have a full head of thick black hair! ![]()

Well done Baldy.
Bald may well be beautiful.........just not in Mick's case
Wayne it's gotta go.
Don't know if bald is beautiful (I have my hair pretty much intact!) but certainly it's way cooler than looking like Steven Seagal!
hey...join the hair club for men...
I'm not only the founder, but I'm also a member...
that being said...I don't know which way I would suggest... some people look quite smart with a shorn scrotum...uhm...excuse me, head...
I had a friend, we'll call him Ken, since that was his name, who had this rather rediculous mop of red curly hair on top of his body...when he started losing his hair, he chose to shave it...and he looked much better for it...
now me, I've dabbled with the shaved head on a few occasions...and it just looks plain silly on me...
looking like some neo-nazi wannabe...silly...plain silly I tell you...
don't know if this helped....I really need to lay off the coffee in the mornings...don't I???
Right then, off it comes. Thank you Shug, Grigori and especially RocketMick for you're welcome input. The feeling seems to be unanimous to just lop it off. I knew I could count on NOOLers to point me in the right direction, although I may hold off on the tatoo until I live with the new chrome-dome look for a bit. Thanks for giving me the final shove I needed to finally get rid of this unruly thatch on top of my head. Goodbye Steven Segal, hello Edward Norton in "American History X"!!!
