That astronomy spectagram thing on unknown pleasures was also used as the cover for some sci fi book by a physics prof. I think he was probably more of an astronomy fan than a JD fan.
The minimalism is apparent in UP, but the Closer cover is just so magnificent, to me. The sleeve was up the sleeve, so to speak.
Has to be Unknown Pleasures for me as well.
The cover is a graph of a magnetic impulse of an imploding star......at least I think that's what I read in An Ideal For Living
Closer is very funereal, I like it, but not as much as the cover to UP.
Closer is the best one, I think there was a hype about it between 80's bands. Although Still is actually a very cool sleeve with its Factory's "F".

Unknown Pleasures... I have a cool copy of the CD with an embossed cover that makes it look really neat in the light. All shiny-like.
My Closer is boring though, even though I think the picture on the front is cool. It kind of foreshadows Ian's death though, doesn't it?
I have Love Will Tear Us Apart and Closer mounted on my walls (laminated on wood if laminated is a word in english)... quite nice!
So Closer it is, although I prefer LWTUA

Unknown Pleasures for sure, hell, it even makes a brief cameo in the "Blue Monday" promo vid (1983). If I could find a shirt w/ that B&W design, I'd get it for sure
