Primal Scream "Evil Heat"....opinions?

Never heard much about them, but since I'm expanding my musical tastes with New Order being the focal point, I've listened to Primal Scream's newest. I really think this album kicks ass, "Miss Lucifer" is a great song. Your thoughts?

I really think this is a great record. It's a supergroup for my generation. K. Tenniswood, A. Weatherall, J. Reid, R. Plant, K. Moss, J. Kooner, etc. What a lineup! A very overlooked album from last year, in my opinion.

It's awesome. "Autobahn 66" is ace!

Has it been released in America yet? I remember Fingers on this board telling me that it wasn't the greatest thing ever, so I was gonna wait til it came out here.

for those not aware, Shoot Speed, Kill Light on Exterminator prefaces Rock The Shack, the two back-to-back make for a driving attack on the senses...

I believe it has been released in America with a bonus DVD which contains two videos and live footage. Amazon.com is selling it at $14.99 and if you buy Massive Attack's "100th Window" at the same time you can get them both for $27.98.

Thanks for the info, looks like it came out late last year, which means that I didn't bother to look for it in the Christmas rush. I shall look for it tomorrow, looks like there is some live stuff and videos on the DVD.

i got evil heat with the dvd...even though i don't have a dvd player.:(

anyways, it didn't appeal to me at first cuz of the production. like someone put a blanket over the songs taht made everything sounded tinny, mono and ah hell, can't describe it. annoying production.

but it's growing on me, autobahn 6 and the song after it is amazing, and for an electronic record, it's surprisingly short.
