I might be the only one, but I have doubts something will happen...
Somehow, the US would invade IRAQ without the UN agreement.. is that really better than what IRAQ did first?
The only thing, can we get fuel out of there? it's 2 cents for 1L...
kind of hard to believe when you pay 90 cents here... ![]()
Pissing off France, Germany, Russia and all arabic countries might not be the best way to avoid terrorist attacks... not sure, but I'd only pass a resolution to have permanent peace keepers in IRAQ, and inspectors!
as far as the answer to this poll goes, the U.S. will win any initial war, probably pretty easily. however, the consequences could be very, very dire. big, big mess this whole thing.
fine Jim...I voted...
the States will roll through Iraq like the Nazis did through France...but you all know where that got Hitler and Company...
wow...Jeff's getting controversial here, ain't he???
but all things being equal...I would prefer the Order getting back on the road!!!

Wouldn't we all, but they'd probably do the same set they did last year. Again. And again. And again And ...
Any type of war is a bad idea. Alot of young men and civilians are going to perish. Bad, bad idea. Without UN approval should not be done.
I don't know, and I hate being a don't know. Its never happened to me before, honest.
I just hope that if and when we see the TV pics of Iraqis in Baghdad cheering the Allied troops one bears in mind similar scenes of Catholics in Northern Ireland welcoming the British Army.
This war is a bad idea. Saddam is definately an evil man, but why fight evil with evil? Watching Bush's speech last night, I wonder who the greater terrorist is. With some exceptions, the entire WORLD is against this war.
And with only about 26 hours left, Saddam and his idiot sons had better make a mad dash for the border if they know what's good for them, or the world.
I just have a bad feeling about this whole thing.
didnt see blairs speech last night but apparently his most powerful one yet (according to the torriegraph)
I hope it doesn't come to that, but the pessimist in me says (and I quote XTC's "Living Through Another Cuba") 'get on your knees and pray and while you're down there kiss your arse goodbye'.
If ever we needed a miracle to get us out of this debacle, it's NOW!
Let's establish a new order in Iraq, if the y don't want to do it themselves, okay?

Saw an excerpt of it on CNN yesterday. Wow, what a public speaker ![]()

Powerful stuff from Blair. Shoddy camera work though.....
Was down the pub watching the footie, came up on the big screen straight after the game, quite a sight seeing shit loadsa pissed up celtic and 'pool fans put their pints down and take it all in.
Agreed though a strong speech.
Tend to agree with AgentWood. Have no doubt the allies will piss this thing. If what we hear about Saddam is all true, then good. But as AW says, we could be looking at one big mess.
Been working with a guy for the last year who was in the area in '91. Hasn't said a whole lot about it except for "What about the innocent children?"
Will never realise what it's like to be involved in it (I hope) but that aspect is always in my mind.
Voted for the first option...but my preferences are near to the fourth option. UN have the political and ethical responsability of this kind of "problems".
UN have to solve it soon.
