the 'dr.phil quotes' on letterman are pretty funny--things he said on the show completely out of context! i find him in the same league as oprah, mostly not worth the energy.
I'm always at work during his time on the tube, so I don't know much about him at all, I just see his face on the ads all of the time, and I know that a lot of female acquaintances like his show a lot. That could be a good show topic: Women who'll take advice from strangers before they take it from their husbands.
Maybe that gnarly pic of Gibby Butthole would've been better posted over here now.

I never heard of him before a friend who worships Oprah (I know....ewwwww) sang his praises. I still wish I hadn't listened to her. Anyone from Oprah is a waste of time, so he is too.

My gosh Gibby is a scary bugger. But I love his "singing" on Jesus Built My Hotrod.
Where's that pic?

Dr Phil is a phony whack job......
He gives all Texans a bad name with his contrived country witticisms and folksy "common sense".
He went to North Texas State for goodness sakes....

wouldn't that be a perfect world???
i have to admit that i've watched his show a few times. he vascillates between making absolutely no sense whatsoever and saying things that are completely obvious. and the women in the audience just listen intently, go 'wow, yeah' and clap in awe. it's pretty entertaining sometimes, especially since people in this country spend millions of dollars a year on self-help books that contain nothing but pages of common sense!
letterman has done wonders with the man though, and you have to give the doc props for taking the jokes so well.
ok, what about john edward from 'crossing over'? south park really ripped him a new one, and deservedly so.
